He's gonna be a free agent at the end of this year. Is it worth pursuing him this offseason? We've been looking for an effective power back for years and Jackson would be the ideal guy for us (granted, if our coaches and execs are still with us next year). We would need to consider how much money he's looking for and how many years he has left, but there's no doubt he's a beast and would finally give us a legit running game. Thoughts? _________________

I'd love to sign him. He's a workhorse that can benefit in the passing game. _________________

Yes! I would do it in a heart beat. I have a mock that I'm working on that has us signing him. _________________

| Guys we better learn players over the age of 28 (especially runningbacks) should not be signed to any major deals |

| im not interested. Aging running back that has had nothing but injury problems. Unless he comes cheap no more than 2/3 mil a year im not interested. He will probably grab a deal worth 5-6 mil a year im guessing though. He is not worth that. Running back in my eyes is the first need in the draft. Then comes OLB. Then G. Then worry about QB. Mike glennon in my eyes is a guy i would keep a real eye on. If we could get him in the second round and groom him for a year i would be happy. |

I'd rather keep Powell and draft someone over bring in Jackson and draft someone. We need to draft our RB of the future. Neither Jackson or Powell are really fit to be that [though I do like Powell]
I like Jackson, but at this point in his career it's just not a good move... |

The Rams are letting him go at the right time.
Maybe it's worth a punt on a one year, two year max deal to be a well-rounded veteran without the baggage of say Cedric Benson. But it all depends on value, we'd be getting hosed paying him as a quality starter. |

No to Jackson.
We need to draft another RB, someone in the 2-3 round with a high ceiling. |

He needs to pull an LT, and go to a team that has a shot. Not saying that we won't next year, but it all depends on what direction this team takes after the season. _________________

| This team really needs to get younger. In his prime S-Jax was one of the best but at this point in time I have close to zero interest in pursuing him. He's got a ton of mileage on him, he's been there workhorse for what, the past 5-6 years? And running backs just don't age well. They typically fall off the cliff once 30 rolls around. |
