From what I've read about him when we signed him he's bounced around a lot and hasnt proved much. Maybe he shows enough to stick around, but I doubt it.

doubt it, it seems Reed has taken over for Gomes also. Since Redd has been put in the pass D has looked a little better because of his knowledge in the defense

Doughty had the deep coverage on the TD pass to Jones -- blew it bigtime.. I've been a fan, kinda --but he is awful.

Julio jones catch was amazing, couldn't be stopped. That's like getting on Doughty for not stoping Andre Johnson in a one on one jump ball in 2010 vs the texans. No db in the league would have stopped either wr from making that catch. Sometimes great Wrs make great catches and there is nothing a db is going to do about it.

It was a great catch and those seem to happen to us everyweek.. Still if he had been closer and hit him as the pass arrived -- it could have been defended..

maybe, maybe not. Who knows... The world might still be flat also. Wink

I don't think Meriweather would have been close, Landry wouldn't have been. Josh Wilson was but he couldn't make a play on the ball because of where Ryan put it. Ryan put it where only Julio could catch it.

Landry would have hit Jones instead of playing the ball. Not many CB's could have defended that pass.

Reed Doughty has been a great back up. His pass coverage is terrible, but he is awesome in the run support. He tackles well and is disciplined in run defense. Rather have him than Gomes who seems vulnerable in both aspects.

Read today he played like 40 snaps..but came out late with a concussion.. No report as to his availability -- Guess he'll go thru the same as RG3 did.. but being a safety -- he 's likely gonna be out this week. He'll obviously take some head hits.

Doughty didn't show up on the Wednesday injury list.

FULL PARTICIPATION:
Fred Davis
Saverio Rocca (?!?)

LIMITED PARTICIPATION:
Stephen Bowen
Barry Cofield
London Fletcher
Cedric Griffin
DeAngelo Hall
Jordan Pugh
Doug Worthington

DID NOT PARTICIPATE:
Pierre Garcon
David Jones

OUT (DEFINITELY WON'T PLAY):
Brandon Meriweather

So the question is: can we actually field a defense come Sunday?

yes, it's Wednesday. Those D players who were limited today I think will all be active on Sunday if we have spots for them to be.
