So for the following players let me know what your opinion on them has been, as well as which grades you agree/disagree. Rankings are out of players who have played at least 25% of snaps so far. Not necessarily how PFF feels they are, they're just ranking off this years performance.
Michael Vick: -3.6 (28th)
LeSean McCoy: 1.1 (24th)
Stanley Havili: 1.7 (t-8th)
DeSean Jackson: 5.9 (15th)
Jeremy Maclin: -3.8 (103rd)
Jason Avant: 3.8 (28th)
Damaris Johnson: 1.9 (40th)
Brent Celek: 4.8 (t-11th)
Clay Harbor: 0.8 (25th)
Todd Herremans: 4.3 (t-21st)
Demetress Bell: -8.7 (62nd)
Evan Mathis: 5.8 (14th)
Danny Watkins: -3.2 (t-48th)
Dallas Reynolds: -8.6 (34th)
Jason Babin: 5.5 (t-12th)
Trent Cole: 4.0 (17th)
Darryl Tapp: 1.2 (25th)
Cullen Jenkins: 6.2 (t-9th)
Derek Landri: 2.7 (t-26th)
Fletcher Cox: 2.1 (30th)
Cedric Thornton: 0.3 (37th)
Mychael Kendricks: -2.2 (36th)
DeMeco Ryans: 7.9 (5th)
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie: 3.1 (t-21st)
Nnamdi Asomugha: -1.6 (64th)
Brandon Boykin: -0.5 (t-48th)
Nate Allen: -0.5 (49th)
Kurt Coleman: -4.2 (t-64th)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few of my opinions
-Vick has a fair grade, he's obviously played like a bottom QBs overall, although he shows flashes of playing like one of the better QBs at times.
-McCoy is underrated, he is been the only constant on a very inconsistent offense and he's been shockingly under used for 2 of 5 games this year.
-DeSean deserves his high grade, he's been absolutely great for us and it just proves that his poor play last year was solely due to the contract issue. DJax has had 0 drops this year, none of Vick's 6 interceptions were from targeting DJax, and he currently has a 63% catch rate which would be a career high if he finished with that.
-Evan Mathis is being overrated here by PFF (not surprising because they loved him last year and tend to develop biases), he has been an average guard at best. While I think he's one of the better run blockers as he's great at executing trap pulls, but he's been mediocre at best in pass blocking already being responsible for 9 pressures.
-DeMeco definitely deserves his high grade. He looked like a stud in our first 3 games, and hasn't played great his last two games but still above average. Meco only has 1 missed tackle this year, one of our biggest problems last year, which is great to see.
So which grades do you agree/disagree with? _________________

I like pff. Suprised at how low Kendricks and Maclin are. Figured Fletcher Cox would be alittle higher aswell. _________________

I don't know the computations behind PFF's rankings, but I'm happy to see Ryans at #5. _________________

Stopped at McCoy.
I like PFF but these rankings have no context. They try to establish the value of a player on ever play which means McCoy's rating includes rushing, receiving, pass protection. However, without context we don't really know what they think he is excelling at or sucking at. |

DeSean should be higher, he have been fantastic so far.
Cullen seems too high. Not bad, but I had just excepted more. Last year they had him as one of the best run defending DT's, did anyone feel like that last year? Especially since he got manhandled by Yanda in the first quarter against Ravens this year. _________________

+1 the defensive ratings (Meco, Kendricks) are not right. _________________

Avant as our 9th or 10th best player THIS YEAR? That list is trash. _________________

I agree, Kendricks has only had one bad game this year really. I think Meco's rating was deserved though, he has been a stud for us so far this year, definitely has played like a top 5 inside linebacker. _________________

It is probably considering his efforts in run blocking and distributing water to other individuals. |

I've loved what I've seen from Kendricks for the most part, but he had bad games against both Arizona and Pittsburgh IMO. This past weekend was much worse, but he struggled in both coverage and against the run in both games.
There's obviously going to be a few bumps in the road as he's a rookie, but I think we're all in agreement that we're excited to have him on board as he has, along with Ryans, helped to solidified our linebacking core. The kid can be a playmaker too if Juan ever lets him blitz off the edge. _________________

| It's a shame Boykin has been exploited after such a promising start. I would like to see them use him more around the LOS and blitzing. Coverage was a major concern of mine on draft day, but his physicality with screens, runs, and blitzes was very impressive. |
