I'll just refer to my post earlier on the previous page. Very Happy
Don't think in any way we would've upset Michigan tonight though. Unlike what I see from Michigan, OSU had an obvious weakness on the right side of their line and to Franklin and staff's credit, they attacked it by leaning heavily on the DBs (strength of the team) and front 7 keep everything in front to take away easy throws for Barrett while the DL slowly got more pressure. 'Twas a masterful job by young DC Brent Pry.

Dude, you straight up PWNED OSU's o-line tonight. It looked really pedestrian, and their WRs didn't look very intimidating, either. As I said, you just matched up really well against them. Enjoy this win. You earned it.

Penn State needs to get it together and score some points, they wont get back into the top 10 with a loss today and as inconsistent as the poll voters are, i wouldnt be surprised to see us fall out of thr top 20 if we lose today.

An ugly win is still a win. OL injuries are about the worst thing that can happen to this team. What will the OL depth look like next year?

Injuries decimated the LB corps down to the 4th string walk-one Nicole the first half of the year. And now they've crushed our OL in our top 3 tackles and now McGovern. I know Franklin doesn't want to, but I think you have to be ready to pull Will Fries' redshirt now. He's apparently been the 3rd best tackle all year but you can't risk dropping a game for the future when we have legitimate opportunities to make some real noise this next month.
Too early to tell on depth for next year because we don't know if Andrew Nelson will come back to play but a two deep at OT of Nelson, Mahon, Wright/Fries isn't bad but not great. The interior OL should be loaded starting next year. Bates, McGovern, Menet, Gonzalez... and incoming freshman legacy CJ Thorpe looks like a freaking dinosaur on tape.

Well, this season has certainly turned around since the OSU shocker hasn't it, gents?

We might be the best, worst team in the country.

I feel a sense of pride over Trace's development this season. Not sure how we felt about him entering the season, but QB crisis in the interim seems to have been averted.

This was just not a double-digit win team. Even though we know it, I think most sensible people would at least realize we've become a threat of some sort. As funny as that sounds.

Agreed.

I think your "best, worst team in the country" quote from your other post sums it up quite nicely.

The FACT is you cant justify leaving PSU out of the CFP if they beat Wisconsin tonight imo.

People can talk about the strength of OSU's schedule and how good of a team it makes Ohio State all they want but that only strengthens the case for PSU, the ONLY team to beat Ohio State this season.

You can, and the committee will. All four teams above them have fewer losses. Had we beaten Pitt, we're sitting pretty at 2 or 3 right now tbh.

Oh, I also thinks it's absolutely asinine that we once again (will likely) have to play USC IN USC's home stadium for the Rose Bowl. That's completely unfair year in year out that the Big Ten gets stuck with a road game for their bowl tie in.

um the Rose Bowl is the home for UCLA. The Coliseum is the home for USC
