Jones is roughly the same size as Tyron Smith. Smith was 6'5" 307. Jones is expected to be a shade over 6'4", 305. Tyron Smith's been pretty darn good for Dallas. |
I am 6'5 250, doesn't mean I am Gronk |

LOL, that's a on-field play/talent issue, not a size issue. You said he wasn't big enough to play LT, Smith's size vs. Jones' size refutes that. _________________

I don't see Jones being athletic enough to be a LT. Think he make a great Center. _________________

A perfectly reasonable concern from what I can tell. _________________

If he's not athletic enough that's one thing but I simply don't see the validity of the size argument. _________________

| It makes me sad that 31 Nfl and 120 odd cfb teams can run the ball and we can't |

Sarcasm?
Per PFF, in 20 NFL starts Tyron Smith (Playing 2 different OL positions) has allowed 9.5 QB sacks while ranking as PFF's 4th best run blocking OT in the league. In just 5 starts, D'Anthony Batiste has already given up 7 sacks (5.5 for Massie). The pair rank 68th and 69th in the run game respectively.

Had some family time last night, missed a golden opportunity to see Fisher. How did he look? _________________

I only saw the 2nd half but he looked pretty good. CMU was pretty bad but when their QB was getting pressured from 3 different directions Fisher still maintained his block. He gave up a sack but their QB ran right into it IMO. Their QB was terrible and I think he ended up getting benched. |

I only saw the first 2 drives for CMU as I was going to a high school game. He missed what looked like two run block pick up but that all I saw. _________________

Texas defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, the 26th ranked player in the rankins list I posted earlier from NFLDraftScout.com suffered a torn pectoral this weekend and is officially out for the remained for the season. He finishes with 10.5 TFL and 4 sacks in 6 games.
He's a junior and you have to think he probably goes back to school now. _________________

Right now, I see 4 clear needs for this team:
1. LT
2. QB
3. RG
4. SILB _________________
