Somewhere in the 250 odd picks yeah, he is worth a pick in one of those rounds. |
I completely forgot to but 3rd in there

Deciding on the others. |
Don't you have us taking Barkley in your mock? |
Yes. Wilson's concussion history will push him down, on-field play be damned. He didn't have a great year either. |

OK, that was fully an oversight
1 - Geno Smith (Top 10)
2 - Tyler Wilson (Top 20)
3 - **David Fales (top 20)**
4 - Matt Barkely (Top 2nd)
5 - Ryan Nassib (Mid 2nd)
6 - Zach Dysert (mid 2nd)
7 - Mike Glennon (Late 2nd, Early 3rd) |
I'd swap Dysert and Nassib personally and I think Fales is a more a top 2nd guy but this would be a lot like my list. |

OK, I'll play...
Geno Smith (Top 10)
Tyler Wilson (Top 15...I really expect the Bills to draft him in the 1st)
Matt Barkley (Either someone trades back into Late 1st or he goes Early 2nd...I wouldn't pull the trigger here, but someone will)
David Fales (Mid 2nd...Lack of snaps causes teams to get jittery, dropping him until after Barkley is off the board)
Ryan Nassib (Mid 2nd...I'm warming up to this kid especially in a run 1st offense utilizing play-action passes)
Zach Dysert (Late 2nd...run on QB's forces him off the board before the early part of the 3rd, which is where I'd take him)
Aaron Murray (Early 3rd or is he staying in school?)
Mike Glennon (Mid 3rd)
EJ Manuel (Late 3rd)
Landry Jones (Early 4th)
Brad Sorensen (Mid-Late 4th)
Tyler Bray (Should stay the heck in school, if not, 5th...out of league after 2015) _________________

I'm going to be the rebel here. Ive watched a ton of tape and my top 10 is:
Matt Barkley
Geno Smith
Mike Glennon
Tyler Wilson
Tyler Bray
Landry Jones
Ryan Nassib
EJ Manuel
Aaron Murray
Zac Dysert
The tape on Barkley last year is unbelievable and should not be discounted. |

How would you all feel about this?
Round 1: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Round 2: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Round 3: Larry Warford, OG, Kentucky
I was hesitant to draft 2 offensive lineman in the 1st 3 rounds. I was also hesitant to draft Lane Johnson based on inexperience, but he's flying up boards and the upside is very high (I considered Oday Aboushi and Dallas Thomas). My hope is that Eric Fisher falls to their pick in the 2nd round (which might not be out of the question with the oline depth this year).
This situation most likely means that maybe Levi and Snyder would get cut. I've also been thinking that a new C might be a need, but what do you all think about getting rid of Sendlein? |

I really don't like any of those 3 picks. No offense but I would be depressed if that's how it went down, especially if we climb to the 4 spot. |

Taking a QB in the 1st is very likely because a new HC wont want to come in under the pressure WHiz has now. What don't you like about Lane Johnson and Larry Warford? |

If FO doesn't like the QB prospects...
Sign Long (5/60) - Kolb pay cut
Move Levi to RG
Cut Bradley/Snyder & A-Dub (cut Kolb/Dockett following year)
1 - Moore
2 - Reid/Vaccaro/Jefferson
3 - Nico Johnson/Kevin Minter
As unrealistic as it is it would be fun to stack the defense and draft a QB next year... _________________

Rob Rang's latest mock released today -
4. Arizona Cardinals
Matt Barkley, QB, Southern California: Rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley has shown flashes in limited duty and Kevin Kolb remains a viable candidate to start, as well, once he returns from a rib injury. Should the long-term answer to the Cardinals' quarterback woes not be obvious, however, don't be surprised if the pressure is simply too much for the team to allow the tough, instinctive Barkley to slip by. Barkley has fallen in the eyes of many scouts but we all know the value of the position rises as the draft approaches. Barkley may not be universally viewed as a first round player any more but that may not matter come draft day.
Here's the rest... _________________

I agree with Rob Rang that Jarvis Jones will go high. I love Matt Barkley and think he is going to be a solid pro I just think drafting him 4th overall may be a problem with a guy like Luke Joeckel on the board. Then again I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. He will become the best QB on the roster in my mind and that's worth the #4 pick. Damn though Joeckel has all pro written all over him. |

Bolded: Not in the top 4 it's not. How anyone could advocate taking this player in the top 4 is beyond me. |

If Steve Keim is the GM I'd trust him with our pick. I think Whiz was the main guy in Floyd's corner... _________________
