Percy Harvin is a guy that is underrated alot on here. After only being used on 58% of the offensive snaps last year, he has been on the field almost every play this year. His skill set is unmatched. He routinely turns screen passes into 15 yard gains. Today he had a 20 yard catch, 20 yard run, and 50 yard kickoff return. If he stays healthy he could have a chance to lead the league in catches and total yards.

These are his season stats:
18 rec 188 yards on 21 targets
7 carries 33 yards
5 KR's 166 yards 33.2 avg

Harvin is a beast and has earned the contract extension he will surely get after this season.

He's ridiculous! Those were not easily earned yards. Anyone know how many first downs he has?

Too early to tell but he might be a Randall Cobb 2.0

Seriously though he is probably the most versatile weapon but I don't know that I would say the best weapon.

Dude is versatile and explosive. He is having a huge year in terms of touches, and he is deserving of a new contract. He played through a tight calf injury today and still managed to pull in 12 catches and break a long return. I think Harvin would be a monster if he could play across a true #1 WR.

Percy right now is definitely Minny's MVP, but he's still mainly dangerous after he gets the ball. If he was more dangerous without the ball, I'd say this thread is valid. Until then, overreaction.

Since when was Sproles this awesome weapon that was far superior to anything Harvin did offensively last season?

Lol I was gonna say the same thing........Cobb is a poor man's Harvin. Why would you call Harvin "Cobb 2.0"?

I think what the opening poster is referring to is terms of a player who can be used all over an offense, there are very few who do what Harvin can do. His statement isnt as outlandish as some may think. He isnt saying Harvin is the best receiver or anything, really, its hard to name a better overall weapon who is a threat as a runner, receiver and returner. Darren Sproles is probably the best, but after Sproles, who is comparable?

Definitely was sarcasm. Cobb would be lucky to end up in the same sentence as Harvin. I love Cobb and he has a chance to be a similar weapon as Harvin as a do everything WR but Harvin is just on a whole other tier all by himself as an offensive weapon. One of my favorite players to watch in the NFL.

Yeah lol I was just goofin. That's why my next sentence started with "seriously though". Cobb isn't even close to Harvin though I see the comparisons some make with them. Harvin is going to be special. Not that he isn't already.
