No one. Wait, I'll repeat that part. No one, has said that it was all Walter Jones. Do you actually read or do you just see that someone has responded to you and come back with a response that holds little weight? Because that's all I see. I already posted a laundry list of reasons why Shaun was so successful all the while you come back with hot air responses and repeatedly spelling the players name wrong that you're "defending".
Let's not make Shaun out to be something he's not. He was not special. He played on a special offense. TDs are little more than a statistic of opportunity, which Shaun was rewarded quite a few of due to the nature of the offense. _________________

Brady, your boy Smitty, and Tiki Barber were way more deserving. |
If Jones and Hutch were responsible for Alexander's success, one of them deserves the MVP. Not Brady or any of those guys. |

It's not even that. I just love the fact that you're the second Pats fan who has now shoehorned Brady into the discussion even though Manning clearly outplayed him that year. _________________

Quite honestly, I would rather have Marshawn Lynch in his prime than Shaun Alexander. Shaun was one of the most frustrating players to watch because he showed little toughness in between the 20's and was just way too finesse in general. |
You summed it up perfectly and i agree i would rather have Lynch then Alexander. |
man you seattle fans are complete homers in regards to your current team.
you kidding me?
lynch over alexander? |
Lynch runs hard all the time and instead of falling down takes on contact like SOS said Alexander only really ran hard when we were close to the end zone. _________________

Shawn Alexander was one of the best I've ever seen at sifting through defenders. He had great vision, and he was a great player.
Way better player than marshawn lynch who gives up on his team (COUGH BUFFALO) and simply isn't as good as you make him out to be. |
Oh, so now there are different genres of homerism? I'm being a 2012 homer now
Shaun was great, I'm not debating that. But Lynch is better and you're clearly being influenced purely by numbers and your weird hate for the Seahawks (or the way I "pimp" them, apparently). Not sure what Lynch quiting on Buffalo has to do with his time spent as a Seahawk where he's been nothing but a great teammate. He is as good as I'm making him out to be, but you refuse to actually digest anything I'm saying because your agenda is cemented. |
Dude, you pimped Ricardo Lockette and Pete Carroll harder than anyone. This is why I disregard anything you say in regards to the 2012 Seahawks. |
Oh man, I'm so sorry. I must be the only fan on this continent to pimp a player and coach. Woe is me. |
Nope, you're not- but with 42k posts in 4 years you sure do it a lot more than everyone else. _________________

No, see he was special, and he made that offense special. Holmgren's WCO needs a good-to-great runningback and Alexander was the best he had.
You gotta be kidding me with the TDs are little more than a statistic of opportunity. Dude had 370 carries, 27 TD and straight made people look foolish that year. _________________

I meant in the fact that his career never recovered after that year. Young and Culpepper recovered at least temporarily. Levens doesn't count, that's not really a cover. _________________ Reggie Wayne for HOF

You remember how Shaun Alexander almost got 1900 yards and 30 Tds for the Seahawks? _________________

Funny thing you mention the Seahawks beating the Panthers in the Conference finals. They likely didn't even need Alexander to win that game either.
Also, I believe the answer to my question is no. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

I don't even believe in the Madden curse, but no discussion of it is complete without mentioning Peyton Hillis _________________

Very true. But SA had the biggest decrease in productivity. No matter how bad Hillis has/will screw up. _________________ Reggie Wayne for HOF
