|
|
|
About a year ago I accidently kicked the tray right off.
And recently the thing got the 3 red death rings.
So I'm thinking I'll just buy a new one.
The one I had did not have an HDMI cable, it had the red, white, & yellow cables.
When I'm looking for a new Xbox how can I tell if it's the HDMI?
If it says HD(NTSC) than does that mean it has the HDMI cable?
thanks in advance _________________

All the new ones will have a HDMI port.
If you're looking to buy a used one, just look at it, if not it should say on the back of box. _________________

I have an old white one and it has an hdmi port (which i'm using)... shouldn't have to worry about that. Also, I don't think they come with the actual HDMI cable. You have to buy that separate. _________________

Which one's are the newer ones?
Slim or the Elite?
I don't keep up with that stuff.
Both the Slim & Elite have a HDMI port on the back, correct? _________________

Haha, the Elites are the older ones. The slims are the newest models. Both of them do have HDMI ports, but as said you need to buy your own HD cable. _________________

Alright thanks for everybody's response.
I have one more question though.
Do the Elite & Slim have heating problems like the one I have? _________________

I'm gonna hijack your thread for a question because I don't see it necessary to start a new one.
My 360 has recently (within the last year) stopped reading discs. It still does everything else though. It's fairly old, but I'm not sure of any specifics. Do you guys know anywhere I can get it fixed? Will Gamestop do it? Is it even worth getting it fixed, or should I just look into getting a new one? _________________

The Xbox I have now does that sometimes.
Just give the disc a good cleaning, I normally lick it.
And than boom it plays. _________________

I've tried that..A LOT. It used to work sometimes, but it's gradually gotten worse and now it doesn't read discs at all. Doesn't read DVDs or games. _________________

1st step: clean your lens inside the drive. If that doesn't work...
Do you hear the disc spin? If not, just replace the optical drive yourself, it isn't that hard. If u hear it spin but still doesn't read then it might be your laser/lens that's the problem. It's cheaper to replace just the laser than buy a whole drive. _________________

I don't think the Slims have any problems at all, some of the Elite models may though. _________________

Elite's don't have near the problem that the first couple models had but the slim/redesign has really no issues and is much quieter from what I hear.
I had to buy a new one and got an elite like a month before the slim came out (2 years?) and it's been just fine. Knock on wood. _________________
