Tuesday tryout. RT @RavensInsider: Cardinals tried out kicker Josh Brown
https://twitter.com/mikejurecki
Name should be familiar to our posters, as Brown kicked for the Rams for 4 years from 2008 in.
This could mean something or it could mean nothing. We'll just have to wait and see. _________________

I think it would be too soon to bail on Feely. He missed his last 2 FGs it happens. Add on the fact that one of them was supposedly tipped and I'd give Feely a little bit longer leash than 2 consecutive misses.
Brown is an absolute beast from 50+ yards though. |

I rather see them go look for a young franchise kicker at the end of the year but I don't think that will happen. _________________

We used a 5th rounder on a FB two years ago and win games with special teams and defense.
I'm confident we'd spend a 6th or 7th rounder on a young leg. _________________

I don't think Whiz has faith in young kickers after Mike Barr. He is willing to bring in a new kicker after Feeley missed a handful of kicks which tells me that he is not willing to be patient with a young kicker. _________________

By beast you mean?? He was 0-2 from 50+ last year and is 22/36 for his career from 50+.
Gould and Bironas would be beasts from 50+ IMO, 10/13 and 16/23 for their careers respectively. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Barr was a punter and was 29 in his only NFL season. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Maybe beast was too strong a word but take away last year and he was 15/19 from 50+ for the Rams in 3 three seasons.
He's 28/43 lifetime btw
Feely is 14/26. That's about 12% less success. |

According to whom?
PFR has him at 22/36 from 50+ for his career.
Also, I think Brown has signed with the Jets. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

That would explain why his NFL.com page still has him as a member of the Jets. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

You are right. For some reason PFR did not have the splits of his 2009 year. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Until Buffalo all we heard was about Feely's consecutive streak. A few misses later they're considering a tryout? Talk about instilling confidence. From 61 yards to a dog. What a joke. _________________
