In the wake of the expected outcome of Sandy, the NFL has officially moved the trade deadline back from tomorrow at 4 PM EST to Thursday at 4 PM EST.

If we win tonight it increases the chance of a trade. We'd be 5-3 and would need Tackle help for the rest of the season to have any shot at the Playoffs. _________________

We are not the type of team to make mid season trades.
We think about it lots, but never pull the trigger.
10,000 to 1 we do anything |

Whether we win or lose it does nothing for our chances of making a trade midseason. Regardless of whether we are 0-8, 8-0 or anything in between, the chance of us making a midseason trade for a starter are somewhere between is somewhere between Absolute zero and zero. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

He's not reporting anything with this but Somers did throw out Jeremy Trueblood as a possibility for us.
He's on the bench in Tampa, wouldn't cost much. Has the size we love, starting experience. _________________

Saw that. Makes sense, which means we probably wont do it.
A quote from Whiz that I thought kind of sums up our season...
Asked if that meant the Cardinals had the offensive talent to do it, Whisenhunt said: “You know, I guess we don’t have a lot of choices in that, right? We’re always looking to get better.
Michael Bidwell is probably thinking "Why should I trade away more picks for "help"? You wanted Kevin Kolb Ken, and look where that got us." _________________

I think that quote from Ken deals more directly with Chris Williams, who took less money (Reportedly) to sign with St. Louis, which is closer to home for him. That's where I think the whole "We don't have a lot of choices" quotes comes from. We can't make these guys sign and even then, the guy's were talking about aren't any good either. Chris Williams isn't good, Jeremy Trueblood isn't good. Our options are limited. _________________

That was taken after last nights game, when asked about answers on offense. _________________

Whiz said the team is exploring some trade options.
Don't know if this even means anything but there it is. _________________

Teams know how desperate we are for offensive line help. It's displayed every Sunday, and last night on national television.
Truth is, for even someone's reserved OT/OG, teams would ask for too much.
And for all those people claimoring for Jake Long...that team is on a hot streak right now. He's going nowhere. _________________

Bolded: He probably never was but everyone's needs to take make note of this. Jake Long isn't happening.
A guy like Trueblood is really out best bet. He's not any good really but he won't cost anything of substantial value. _________________

And he's got significant starting experience in this league...for some time.
Something Batiste and Massie have never had. They're on pace to be the worst pass blocking pair in the history of this league. Any change is an upgrade.
The pricetag, however, is the most important thing. Don't waiste a quality pick on a guy that may not even help us. We may already be headed to 5-11 with or without Trueblood IMO. _________________

After last nights performance yes. I wanted us to nab a waiver wire guy to salvage this season. After what I saw these last two games, that's not possible. No trade will turn this season around. Best case scenario is you get a guy you like and he plays pretty well, and you can parlay that into maybe a starter/depth next year. _________________
