No typo, the numbers haven't been fudged. Jamell Fleming played just 2% of our defensive snaps yesterday. 2. T-W-O. |

I'm starting to wonder if Mike Miller and Ray Horton didn't sit down to dinner two weeks ago and say to each other, "You know everything we've been doing well the last 3 weeks, the things that have lead to us having 3 wins? Just for kicks and giggles, let's do the opposite". The offensive side of that is obviously much more drastic change wise but Horton has gone out in 2 straight weeks and made decisions that I can't explain, decisions that fly directly in the face of the one's he made when we were 3-0. I'm sitting here right now stunned at this revelation.
Toler played 84% of our snaps, Gay played 52%. Jamell Fleming played 2%. WOW. |

He just played 80 something snaps against the Pats 3 weeks ago. Now he plays less than 3? That sounds fishy to me. |

Toler was still hurting then. |

He's still hurting now. He didn't play 100% of our snaps yesterday, he only played 80%. Gay only played 50%. There were reps there to be had. |

Well the good news is that Toler could be hurt again. So we will see how this works out for Fleming |

I just don't get it. We literally have changed everything we did well through the first 3 weeks of the season. I don't understand it one bit. If you don't want to play Fleming because he's a rookie, I'm good with that. Honestly I am. Sit him out and make him learn, make him earn it but you sure as heck can't play him 80 quality snaps 1 week and then turn around and completely phase him out for no reason the next week. Either sit him or play him. Quit messing with him week to week. |

Defensively and offensively, the Cards have to grow every week.
Offensively, we couldn't expect them (even if personnel allowed) to continue to use max protect on every passing down. We had to give some trust to the line to be able to protect enough for 4 and 5 wide. Unfortunately, it's not working.
Same with the defense. Fleming saw a lot of time on the field because he used nickel and dime packages a LOT against New England and Philly. Would expect to see a drop in Fleming's time when facing Miami and St Louis.
Still need to find whatever fire was in this team weeks 1-3 and put it back on the field. Still good opportunity to be 6-1 after these next two games. |

And why is that exactly? Knowing your personnel's strengths and weaknesses is arguably a coach's biggest responsibility. Our weakness is on the edge. Combatting that is using max protect sets. This is a slam dunk IMO. |

The play count numbers say he's hardly on the field. |
