The season has passed the 1/4 mark. What two players are your biggest surprise and disappointment to this point (Villian, I know your choice for the latter )
For me:
Surprise: Can it be anyone other that hawkins? I mean, I expected him to contribute, especially to teams, but not like this on offense. he is ten times better than Shipley ever was. And now, those swing passes he takes near the LOS are the best "running" plays we have.
Disappointment: Tossup between ReyRey and Mays. Maualuga looks too heavy and slow. mays just doesn't seem to listen to coaches once the game starts, so he has sat a bunch the last few weeks.

Agree on biggest surprise.
Maualuga is definitely the biggest disappointment. I didn't expect much from Mays. _________________ 2013 Draft Needs: RB, Safety. Maybe RT and backup LBs |

Hawkins showed some flashes last year, so i can't say i'm surprised exactly. I'm more surprised by Binns. Everyone raved about him during camp, but those kind of guys rarely panned out. He has looked good. _________________

Surprise- Vontaze Burfict hands down. Everyone said he was green and not ready for the game time. He has been the best LB and played great.
Disappointment- Secondary. But mostly Kirkpatrick. Not exactly the return you expect with a 1st round pick early on. _________________

Surprises - Hawkins-yeah, Burfict-yeah, Binns-yeah; I'd also give a shout out to Marvin, Gruden and the coaches too; for some pretty ballsy play calling. The fake punt to Peerman, that opening play in DC, the failed fake and some others. How long have we waited for the playbook to be widened out after years of Bratkowski, and it finally looks like they're rollin' the dice some.
Disappointments - The whole defence when Dunlap is not in there; but Maualuga is easily the biggest single disappointing player for me. TBH, I wasn't expecting much from Mays; (SF traded him away for a 7th for a reason); but I was expecting much better from Rey in his contract year. He's lost his zap, his instincts, and his downhill speed. Burfict already looks a better player, and thats saying alot. Disappointed in BJGE big time too. Not much of an upgrade over Benson yet IMO, and thats with better guard play up front. Disappointed Kirkpatrick hasn't contibued too yet. _________________ " I imagine that in Paul McCartneys' house, he must have a shelf with the 12+ great 'Beatles' studio albums neatly stacked.
