What were the Best/Worst series finales of a T.V. program?

Of all finales, The Wire is my favorite. Just absolutely loved that show.

Good:
One Tree Hill... Granted the Season 4 finale was probably a much better finale because they thought the show was going to get cancelled but they had been shaping up a "Next Generation" for 2 whole seasons. Only negative was the lack of original cast members returning.

Greek... Given what was available to them they did a decent job. Would have been better to see the Juniors make it to their Senior years and graduate but marketing and viewership were so down there was no way they'd get enough time to do that. So the way it ended was acceptable. You're left to figure out how the next 3 semesters will go.



Terrible:
Malcolm in The Middle... This show felt like a new Seinfeld only through the eyes of a teenager in a dysfunctional family. I felt it was so underrated and because of this FOX just crapped all over it in it's final season pretty much rushing it out the gate. Ending just leaves you wanting more.

That 70s Show... Came out same year as MiTM. Ended same year as MiTM. Got about 90x the publicity as MiTM for it's final season despite the fact like 60% of the original cast was gone. Wasn't too much to care about when they finally entered the 80s.

Boy Meets World... It's not actually terrible... but rather it just feels rushed and not plausible. As ridiculous as some of the things were such as Mr. Feeney being there every year or Cory and Topanga ending up together forever it just kind of felt rushed that suddenly, Cory, Topanga, Shawn and Eric all were going to uproot themselves and move to New York after living in the Suburbs of/Center City Philadelphia all of their lives simply because Topanga got an INTERNSHIP. Not to mention all four of them were in their 2nd or 3rd year of college to do so while Jack and Rachel just join the piece corps simply because...

Other than Seinfeld and Friends I never really watched a show through it's original running enough to see it through from an early season to it's finale other than these shows.

Count me as one of the rare people who liked the Seinfeld finale. If any show was meant to go out with a middle finger, it was that one.

Seinfeld's finale was bad mostly because the 2nd half was virtually a clip show (filled with old cameos)

But before the Seinfeld finale was an actual clip show.

Thats why it was a little stale.

Pretty much made every episode in that season b4 it irrelevant.
