interesting stat from that Aldon article..

Aldon Smith has recorded 18 of his 18.5 sacks when the 49ers sent four or fewer pass-rushers. No player has more on such plays.

I saw that too. Very telling about the strength of our front 7. That's a combination of Aldon being a beast, Justin Smith taking up multiple blockers, and Ray Mac and Sop commanding respect as well.

I hope he gets it today.

I'm not surprised as we blitzed the least amount from any team last year. We do have a lot of confidence in our front 7 and would rather not give up the big play.

49ers inactives: QB Tolzien, WR Jenkins, RB James, S Robinson, RB Jacobs, G Looney and NT Williams.

Surprised to see Jacobs there....must not be completely healthy.

Brandon Jacobs was a full participant in practice all week and is still inactive Crying or Very sad . Dang it, be prepared to fail multiple short down situations.

All indications said that Sop would be out this game as well. Glad to see that he's healthy. As for Jacobs, I too am a little disappointed to see him sit but benching Dixon would thin out our ST's that hasn't been performing up to par this season. Is there such a thing as too much offensive depth?

Does Garrett Celek play ST? Haven't really noticed him but not sure why else he would be active.
