I think that's it... 8 drafted by the Ravens.

You left off Suggs

Oops, you're right, I was going through the starting lineup for the most part. And where the heck did I get 8 from?

6 drafted by the Ravens + McKinnie.

How did I miss Winfield? I mean, Jenkins is easy to forget, but Winfield?

Drafted by Bears:
Gabe Carimi
Chris Williams
Shea McClellin
Brian Urlacher

Drafted by other teams:
Jason Campbell (Redskins)
Jay Cutler (Broncos)
Chris Spencer (Seahawks)
Amobi Okoye (Texans)
Julius Peppers (Panthers)

Total: 9

Only 4 of our first round picks still on the team... Found that surprising. Especially seeing as Chris Williams doesn't really count because he's not very good and this could well be his last year with us.

Well, not trying to give you too much grief, but it would be 7 drafted by the Ravens (Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Ngata, Suggs, Flacco, Oher, Smith) + McKinnie = 8 total.

Interestingly, that number would be much higher if it weren't for us trading out of the first in two of our last three drafts.

Hmm...might be easier to list ALL Texans 1st rounders since inception. Wink

David Carr (#1 overall, 2002; #2 QB, NY Giants)
Andre Johnson (# 3 overall, 2003; Current Texan)
Dunta Robinson (#10 overall, 2004; #3 CB, Atlanta Falcons)
Jason Babin (#27 overall, 2004; #2 DE, Philedelphia Eagles)
Travis Johnson (#16 overal, 2005; Out of NFL)
Mario Williams (#1 overall, 2006; #1 DE, Buffalo Bills)
Amobi Okoye (#10 overall, 2007; #4 DT, Chicago Bears)
Duane Brown (#26 overall, 2008; Current Texan)
Brian Cushing (#15 overall, 2009; Current Texan)
Kareem Jackson (#20 overall, 2010; Current Texan)
JJ Watt (#11 overall, 2011; Current Texan)
Whitney Mercilius (#26 overall, 2012; Current Texan)

Outside of that, Jonathan Joseph (#24 overall, 2006) is on the roster. The Texans have also made use of Matt Leinart (#10 overall, 2006) as well as Jason Allen (#16 overall, 2006).

On offense: Brick, Mangold, Keller, Sanchez and Holmes (IR)

On defense: Wilkerson, Coples, Maybin, Pace, Thomas, Landry, Revis, Cromartie, Wilson

That may seem like a lot of defense, but Maybin, Pace, Thomas, and Wilson are all useless now.

Of those 14, 9 were drafted by the Jets.
