you have to scroll down about 3/4 of the way down

Quote:
"It's kind of shocking that the Packers haven't made an offer or nothing like that," Jackson said. "Maybe they want to go in a different direction or they don't want to pay you what you're worth and get you on the cheap."
His agent, Angelo Wright, estimated that Jackson would be signed within a week for a deal averaging more than $3 million per year.
"He won't break the bank but he'll get a good deal," Wright said. "He's never made any money. Whatever the market ends up being he'll be in there. If the Packers want Grady back, they'll pay fair market."

Good Luck to you sir, see ya when your request lowers to $1.5

I think even that is too much. He lacks the speed to play in our scheme, and I think there are better options out there. I also think that is why we are targeting Pickett as a replacement to Jackson.

I could definately live with 1.5 mil. Thats really not too much, especially with how much cap room we have. The best deal I think would be a 2 yr, 3.25 mil. or something like that.

Oh, I'd have no problem paying him 3 million, at least for this upcoming season. We have absolutely no replacement for Grady. He's too valuable to let go. 4 or 5 million is too much for a part-time player, but he's most definitely worth 3 milliion per...maybe not to many teams, but to us, we're begging for anything.

I thought Kampan was only worth about 3.5-4 million a year and he got 5...... I would pay Grady anywhere from 2 - 2.5 mill a year.

Exactly...if Kampman is worth 5mil per, I would give Gravy 3 mil all day.

Well, I think they only want GRADY for cheap. I have a feeling if the player is worth it, TT would pay it. That being said, he'd rather pass completly than get in any sort of bidding war over anyone.

I would think Gravy would be worth $3million, on a contract he would have to earn. Set up an incentive laden deal.

Grady is definitely worth 3 million per year. As long as you only guarantee 1/3 of that, that's not too cost prohibitive. Besides, look at what Gerrard Warren resigned for with the Broncos, 6 years for 36 million - a guy who was considered a bust with the Browns 2 years ago. And frankly, Grady has been one of our best defensive players since he showed up in GB.

I read about the Warren deal and almost choked on my coffee! I just can't believe some the money that is being thrown around this early in the FA Market.

Those contracts are going to drive up Grady's 'value'.

I agree. Sign him. Gets doubled alot, has good pressure in the middle of the pocket, and great against the run.

At 3 mill, do it. The defense needs to keep him. Not all of it needs to be gaurenteed(sp?) either. Add some incentives and health clauses.

Well, we have all of this money that we aren't spending so i say heck, sign the guy even if he should only probably be getting 2 mil.

I just saw that BIG Ted Washington got a 2 year 7 million dollar deal.

Right now, you might call it a bargain for what Grady is asking.
