Look, I hate to say it, but this really looks the Iggles year. Not because they are a good team, Lord knows they are as mediocre as our Cowboys. But in spite of all of our knowledge of coaches, players, positions, match-ups, etc, etc, etc, there is an intangible factor at work here. It is the same factor that catapulted the Giants to 2 super bowl victories. That factor is luck ladies and gentlemen. Yes sir, luck. The Giants got very lucky in 2007 in theri playoff run. At Dalls they lucked out when P. Crayton dropped a sure 1st down that may have led to a TD. The same player broke off his route at the end of the game after beating his man for the go ahead score. They also got a 15 yard taunting penalty that would have ended the Giants scoring drive at the end of the 1st half.
There are 3 examples in only 1 game. You get my point?

Ok, the Iggles are leading the NFC East at the 1/4 mile by 1 game. They could very easily be 0-4. Let me explain:

Phi vs Clev.
1.Game winning drive Vick fumbles only to have the ball bounce straight back to him. 50/50 on that and he lucked out.
2. Same drive, Clev LB drops a sure game ending INT (would be 5) to keep Phi hopes alive. On the next play they score and win.

Phi vs Balt.
1. Go ahead TD for Balt called back because of an off. pass Int. call resulting in 3 points instead of 7. Phi won by 1 point.

Phi vs. NYG.
1. Manning on 2nd down goes for a TD while already in FG range. Result of play, another off pass int call pushing the Giants out of FG range.
2. Tynes shanks the 1st FG. Reid calls a T.O. Tynes gets a second crack and comes up just short.

Summary: A fumble bouncing another direction, a sure handed LB, No Off Pass Int call, and another yard on a FG attempt and this team is 0-4.

Not the case though is it?
Hence, the luckiest team to ever suit up. That, combined with a soft schedule and a coach desperate for the promised land or else and this team may as well punch their tickets now.

Seems grim anyway you slice it.

Great fumble by Vick at the 2 yard line with a Steelers recovery for a touchback in the end zone.

It amazes me how and why so many people are still all up in Vick's junk when the guy continually proves that he can't play the QB position well. He's more inconsistent than Romo is.
