I wouldn't keep him at all cost but I would give him around 7-8 mil a year. |

He actually had a good season last year. Maybe not outstanding, but pretty good. This year, maybe he's figured it out or maybe he realizes that to land a long-term deal he needs to step up his play.
Another possibility is that he understands Ryan's system better and Ryan is also getting him into positions to succeed. There are a lot of factors to consider for Spencer's improved play.
That being said, I still would be hesitant to give him a huge contract given his history. _________________

This is what I was getting at. He is being used in a more creative manner, and now we have the secondary to give him that split second extra that he needs to get to his QB. Its the reason the Jets' pass rushing will suffer without Revis _________________
