I haven't watched Cooper, but in my eyes Warmack is just downright dominant. Especially in the running game. He just blows people off the ball. Scouting reports make it seem like Cooper isn't quite at that level.

My dream scenario looks something like this right now:

Use most of FA money to lock up Spencer, no big splashes otherwise.
Trade down in the first for an extra 3rd.
1: Barret Jones
2: Eric Reid
3: Chase Thomas
3: Leveon Bell
4: DE
5: CB
6: TE

I posted this is another thread, but thought it might get more loooks here.

I don't care what defense we play. The offensive line has to be fixed or we will be 8-8 again.

1 - Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama - Best OG in the draft.
2 - Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin - Barrett Jones' injury scares me.
3 - Montee Ball, RB Wisconsin - Need a proven RB behind the often injured Murray.
4 - D.J. Swearinger, FS, South Carolina - Love his game. If this wasn't such a deep FS class, he would go higher.
5 - Devin Taylor, DE, South Carolina - Need depth at DE.
6 - Jordan Rodgers, QB, Vanderbilt - Smart QB to groom. If he is half as talented as his brother Aaron, then he'll be a steal.

I know everyone is still clamoring over Barrett Jones and hoping we can get him in the 2nd round. His injury scares me away before the 3rd round. I actually like Frederick better anyway. Jerry Jones has Arkansas ties. Wisconsin's former coach, Bret Bielema is the new HC at Arkansas. Jerry will pick his brain on Frederick and Ball.

ht, I'd be jumping for joy if we landed Warmack and Frederick in back-to-back rounds.

Hopefully though, we'd have already signed someone like Henry Melton before the draft in that scenario. I really think we need to add more talent to the DT position.

At some point, I am going to do a full offseason and post it on here. I stated one Friday, but lost it when the power went out and the UPS hooked to my computer took a dump. This was the exact same draft I was going to post in that thread. There were some free agent additions to account for the lack of d-line until the 5th round.

HT. I would be pretty thrilled with that draft.

That's a damned good draft, ht.

I for one am a huge Fan of Warmack, That being said, I think he will be long gone by the time we draft.

I want top think we might trade down with the depth @ OL and DL, but here is my quick mock with no trades.
I have the Cowboys signing OG Matt Slauson, Callahan link
Spencer gets a deal we cant match.

1st - Berkevious Mingo - DE freak athlete that is a premier rusher and plays ok against the run, would need to add some bulk and hit the gym. will drop due to a down year, but i think he could be the steal of the draft if he falls to 18
2nd - Phillip Thomas SS - Fresno - He is rising fast and even though he is a small school player and a fairly deep class of safeties, Can play in the box and in center field,
3rd - DJ Flucker OT - Alabama - strong at the point of attack. will help the running game and better his pass blocking, but still an upgrade.
4th - Travis Kelce TE Cincinnati
5th - Nico Johnson LB - Alabama
6th - Mario Benavides C - Louisville I think Centers always drop and could be available.

Given the way things look, I'd like this draft:

1. Chance Warmack, OG Alabama
2. Sharrif Floyd, DT Florida
3. Ricky Wagner, OT Wisconsin (or Travis Frederick, C Wisconsin)
4. Bacarri Rambo, S Georgia (or D.J. Swearinger, S South Carolina)
5. Marcus Lattimore, RB South Carolina
6. Zac Dysert, QB Miami (OH)

EDIT: I don't have the foggiest idea if Dysert will be there in the 6th or not. QBs are impossible to peg, as we've seen with the projections for Mike Glennon (anywhere from a top 5 pick to the 5th round). I went with his projections from earlier in the season since nothing will matter until after the combine and his pro day.

I'm just reposting what I posted on Friday.

I don't think it's far off to say that the first four picks would have a very strong chance of starting next season.

Sign me up for that draft, Plan.

I know you live near USC, so what do you think of T.J. McDonald?

I could have sworn I responded. I would love a draft like this.

I would be unbelievably happy if the draft played out like this, though I don't believe either of the top 2 picks will be available at those selections.

I would also take the center over the tackle in round 3.
