Jonathan Hankins
Jarvis Jones
Barkevious Mingo
Star Lotulelei
Sam Montgomery
Chance Warmack
Barret Jones
Bjeorn Werner
Add in names like Barkley, Geno Smith, Luke Joeckel, DeMarcus Milliner, Manti Teo and 2 or 3 fringe players. That means the Boys should be in great position to land one of these guys. Worst case scenario I see is the team walking away with one of the OGs from Bama and that might be just what this team needs the most. |
Id love any of these guys. My personal number 1 reasonable want is Warmack.
Also I think getting Joeckel and moving free in would be stellar. Joeckel is a beast tackle! _________________

1. Chance Warmack OG, Bama
2. Chase Thomas OLB, Stanford
3. Tony Jefferson S, Oklahoma
4. Margus Hunt DE, SMU
5. Markus Wheaton WR, Oregon State
6. Colin Klein QB, Kansas State
7. Ray Graham RB, Pitt
This would address many needs regardless of what happens in the offseason. I think the only question mark of this draft is Jefferson falling to the 3rd, but I've seen crazier things happen. Love love love Warmack, and I like Thomas. I think he can play all 4 LB spots in a 3-4 system and Ryan loves that in his players. Would you be happy with a draft like this? _________________

Can't complain. Nicely done. Can you talk a little about Hunt? He's the only one I don't have a good understanding of. (Haven't seen any SMU games). _________________

This looks like a great draft. Only issue I have is that it might be a little more realistic to flip-flop Thomas and Jefferson. But regardless, this looks like a phenomenal draft. Would be very happy with it. _________________

Hunt is a very raw player, I think he started playing football his junior or senior year in high school. But he 6'8" 280 with a non stop motor. I've seen a couple games and he has a nice push and burst off the line, I've read that he's run a 4.7 40 and did 225 35 times at SMU which I crazy for his size. He's got crazy long arms (80"+ wing span I think) which help him block 14 kicks (punts and FGs) in 3 years at SMU!! I have a feeling that he's going to be one of those fast risers come draft day. _________________

I think Hunt would be a great guy to profile in the draft/free agency thread. _________________

Love it. I haven't personally scouted warmack but first round caliber OG sounds ideal. Love chase Thomas he would be perfect, he would start over Wilber and Wilber could give us depth. definitely need at least one safety plus I like the drafting of Klein a lot, very interesting young qb and we need to develop someone he's got potential. I have no idea how high he is slated to go. _________________

Hunt is not near as raw this year as last year I think. He has really developed him self and it has already sent his stock on a rise.. I think that we would be lucky even to get him in the 3rd round and I defintly could see him make a push for the 2nd. It would be the steal of the draft if we could get him in the 4th
Personally, I would love this guy on the roster. |

Agreed, I think there's no way Hunt will be there in the 4th round. His athleticism alone will put him in the Top 3 rounds. I say we go Warmack in the first round and Hunt in the 2nd. _________________

Count me in with this. I'd be pretty pumped if that was our draft. _________________

Pretty realistic with draft positioning?
And I figure we'll have to jump the Eagles to get Cooper as they're desperate for interior OL help as well _________________

I'd say so. This is a very, very deep class for DT, OL, and S. So I expect some excellent talent to slip and fall.
Not a major fan of Jones. Maybe it's because I still hold last year against him.
And keep in mind, the Eagles have spent a crap ton of picks (and early no less) to try and fix their OL, and they haven't hit. I wonder if a new Head Coach will be willing to invest so heavily without seeing what is salvageable from the sheer amount picks spent. _________________
