just find a girl you find extremely attractive, shares similar interests and life goals, and has the same moral values as you in whatever areas.
i mean most people live in maybe 3 cities in their life maximum or something along those lines. obviously you don't even run into everyone there, you're choosing from an extremely small group of people relatively, yet tons of people still get married. |
That means nothing. It's all about the marriages that go the distance. |
well yes, but you know what i'm saying.
i know plenty of people that have been married for a long time who grew up in the same small town. |
I don't disagree with your entire statement. I agree that once you find someone that shares common interests/goals, makes you happy, and can easily keep the relationship "fresh", it's not hard to stick with them.
On the other hand, some people never find that person, they think they do and that's why couples get divorced. People, in general, are very much too eager to find "the one". _________________

All marriages that go the distance aren't great marriages, either. Sometimes they just stay with each other because that's all they know. |
That's very true, and I'm surpised I forgot to mention it. _________________

I'd like to answer this question with a question of my own:
If you looked like Ryan Gosling or whoever you currently have a man-crush on; would you still look for "the one"?
People who look for "the one" are usually individuals who have self-esteem issues and are terrified of dying alone. _________________

Thought 1 was Ted from HIMYM
Thought 2 was Neo
And no, I don't look for "The One". I'm much too young for that. Maybe "the next one" or a specific type ie "the one with the spine tattoo" but that's about it. _________________

Definitely! I feel there's no reason to be wasting another's time in a relationship if you have no intention of attempting to be that person's long term significant other.
I am not saying the other person has to be perfect however. She just needs to be right for me. |

Why reference that in this thread, though? I'm not angry in here. _________________
