Team one. It's in the OP.
There is a captain for each team: DRd for team one, bucs for team two, and YB for team three.
Each captain assigns a task for an other team. It's up to the judges to collectively decide if your (and everybody's) effort completes the task specifically assigned to each specific team. _________________

Schiano played LB for Bucknell University, a D-1AA school in central PA, not far from where I grew up (probably most famous for upsetting Kansas in 04 or 05 in March Madness). He started 3 years, leading his team in tackles as a junior and was a pre-season All American the following year.
| Quote: | | In his playing career at Bucknell University, he was a three-year letterman at linebacker. In his junior year, he led his team with 114 tackles and was named to the All-Conference team. In his senior year, he was named team captain, and was named to The Sporting News Pre-season All-American Team. |

Schiano credits sports psychologist, Dr. Kevin Elko, with giving him words of wisdom that he still uses to this day to motivate his team and keep them focused. Schiano first met Dr. Elko while he was at Miami and he brought him to Rutgers when he became their head coach.

This phrase, 'chopping wood' started when Schiano blew a big lead against Illinois while he was coaching Rutgers in 2006. After the loss, Schiano was at a loss for words...struggling to find something to say to get the team back on track. Then the phrase, 'chopping wood', which he first heard about from Dr. Elko at Miami, popped into his head. Chopping wood is a grind. It's just you and that ax. You have to keep chopping. Keep pushing. Never stop.
When he delivered those words to his team after that brutal loss it stuck with them.

Chopping wood is more than just a phrase. You can apply it to anything in your life. You have to put in the work. If you keep focused, keep pushing, you will get there. Schiano's core philosophy is built on this and we can already see how it has changed this team. _________________

Haha, does that mean that my team gets an extra point to make up for last week?

The gifs were funny, but you are on my team. This is our challenge:
| bucsfan333 wrote: | Team one:
I want to know more about our head coach. I want one relevent anecdote from each of you about Schiano. How did he get started with the game we all love? Did he play football himself? Where? What position(s)? What has he been absolutely great at? What has he struggled with? Anything goes, for the most part, but I want examples.
If you say, for example, he's been a great defense oriented coach then prove it. Show numbers or great players that have come to the NFL from his team(s). |
You can see this week's challenges along with the team rosters in the OP. _________________

As a DB coach for Chicago, the pass defense there only gave up an average of 201.75 yards per game. I don't where that ranked in the league back then, but I just thought it sounded pretty good.

Was that for a single season or for his tenure there? _________________

Monday Night Miracle : Bucs vs Rams 38-35 December 18, 2000

This was a classic! This was are redemption game against the team that we lost to in the NFC championship game the season before in a controversial heartbreaker. Warrick Dunn tied a franchise record for TD's in the game with 3 and with the biggest coming at the end to clinch the game with help from no other Shaun King (I sure do miss that guy, he was the first Bucs jersey I ever got) also another note Keyshawn Johnson had 2 TD's as well!

Wasn't King sacked like once every four times he dropped back or something like that? _________________

It was for his only season as a DB coach there. _________________
