I know Turtle wanted him but he's getting ABUSED in this Rams Cards game. He looks slow and unathletic. The antithesis of what we want and need. _________________

I was never impressed with him at the college level.
The guy taking his place is doing better than him at the college level so far.
I think it not being that deep of a group had him ranked higher than normal. _________________

I watched the Cardinals-Rams game.
If this game was any evidence of what Massie is capable of at the pro level, the Shanahans were absotively, posolutely to pass on this guy every single time.
He flat out stunk. |

Fair enough. However, he was getting WORKED over.
Of course, if he were on our team, he'd be a rookie too. So, would the right side of our line be any better? |

| Lost in all of this is the outstanding job Tyler Polumbus is doing for us. I think he would have won the starting job from Brown if he was healthy. He has been outstanding in the run game and compitent in the pass game! We really dont need Massie. Hopefully Compton will be able to develope behind him, and we will be set at the tackle position. I know poeple have been screaming for us to draft a RT in 2013....Im not sure we need to do that with the great play of polumbus....We need to spend all our free agency money and all our draft picks on the secondary. Just my opinion!!!!! |

Egg-zactly!! we could use a young RT but the secondary is a bigger concern.. The best safety or corner.. |

I'm still mad that the Skins couldn't sign Cortland Finnegan, but yeah...
Massie was awful. _________________ Don't be afraid to turn the lights on...

Finnegan would have worked out great! Plus, maybe we wouldn't have lost to the Rams. _________________

| Im pretty sure Cortland wanted to play for Jeff Fisher. They have the Tennessee connection. |

That was my line of thinking.
The cap hit hurt, but Finnegan likely wanted to play for his old coach and a Gregg Williams defense.
I think he knew where he was going.
If anything, his agent would have used the Skins to up his price tag, but that's about it. _________________ Don't be afraid to turn the lights on...

Sure he did want to play for Fisher, just saying he was on the list of names until that cap hit came down and changed everything _________________

So, would the right side of our line be any better? | mike Adams 2nd round rookie OT from "the Ohio state university" was getting worked over all preseason, which prompted the steelers to re-sign Max Starks coming off a torn ACL vs Denver in the divisional playoff game. Rookies need to develop, they need time to get acclimated to the nfl, the speed of the game, strength of the experienced players etc.
Bobby Massie is a rookie and he was going up against Chris Long. Who, you should know a lot about being a UVA alum. IMO Long is the best LDE in the nfl currently.
As for if Massie were on our team, the RT position would be in a better position for the future, which right now we have nothing to look at on the Rt position and think that guy can be an answer past this year... Because we also cut Willie Smith.
It's a major problem we've had and we've had it for 5 years. Gets really old... _________________
