Man, I thought bringing in a GM would really help but so far all I am seeing is a guy trying to get by on the cheap! Everone talks about the Green Bay way but to me he basically got lucky and had Aaron Rogers fall in his lap! Their Defense has been absolutely HORRIBLE for several years. THey have a few studs but that roster is far from the best in the NFL.
First he fires Hue so " He can get his own guy"! . What great reasoning huh??? With Hue we finally had a good offense that was creative, got the most out of DMAC and generated big plays. Now we go back to Horrible, Predictable Offense and the ZBS that doesn't fit.
Dennis Allen looks in way over his head in my opinion. I'm sure he will get better but not liking what I see so far from Wonder Boy.
Allows Wonder Boy to bring back Greg Knapp??? Really????? (Once I saw we were hiring Gregg Knapp I lost ALL EXCITEMENT about the upcoming season.
Pulls from the college ranks for a DC. Does this seem like a great hire now?
Didn't try to resign Bush. (I'm sure he could have found the cash to pay this guy. Al would have).
Got rid of both corners for bargain basement guys with questionable medical past. Now both are hurt and didn't look that great when they were healthy. ( I agree Rout was overpaid but why not try to restructure?)
Gave away Lewis Murphy (Now were bringing Receivers off the street).
The list goes on! |

Sometimes when you're lost you gotta backtrack. |

This team is awful.
But there is hope.
With all these loses, it presents a clear opportunity for McKenzie to clean house.
Every player making over 7 million a year should go.
Seymour
Kelly
Huff
McClain (unless we switch to a 3-4)
Palmer(unless he takes a pay cut and helps of develop a QBOTF)
McFadden(unless we switch schemes
DHB
Lechler
They all need to go and McKenzie needs to ace the next draft. He needs to hit on his first three picks and we need a big name free agent that is worth the money.
Its the only way, we need guys who fit the scheme or we need to change it. It would seem that changing the scheme would be more feasible but maybe he thinks the WCO is more sustainable(which may be true).
It's going to take time, and maybe die hards should take a step back. Because DA is currently not ready to roll with big time HC's yet.
We are not hopeless, but yes this season and next are already over in reality. |

I bet we'd be in a better position if we gave Hue Jackson absolute power. Maybe be a superbowl contender in 3 years. |

When will people realize that Reggie's decision to Chang the offense to WC with Zone blocking is the reason the Raiders are taking a giant step backwards and causing a 3-5 year rebuilding period.
If he kept the offense the same all he would have to do is rebuild the defense.
Now he needs a whole new team.
Talk about righting the ship he's the one who sunk it. |

Last year our PBS sucked without McFadden. Reggie could have put all his chips in the "lets assume McFadden can stay healthy" basket but that would have been really dumb. _________________

In which basket did he put all his chips then? _________________

It's much easier to get rid of most of the WRs( the WC uses big WRs for blocking not small fast ones like Ford, Moore) and
have Wisniewski and Veldheer underachieve.
It's always a good idea to Give up on your young players. |

I hear you, but IMO Veldheer, Wiz will be really good in ZBS as well with some time. Moore will be great in every scheme and Ford can be good as a returner, slot guy in the WC easily... _________________ WIN LOSE OR TIE...RAIDER FAN 'TIL I DIE!!

He didn't put them into one basket, that's the point.

So that explains why you want to give up on Ford and Moore. Veldheer hasn't underachieved either. _________________
