You do know that port has be around since like 2003, right? Change the port once every ten years and everyone flips out. _________________

Not really sure. Movies, music, sports, etc apps, I guess. I've never owned a Mac so I have no clue about the apps and all that jazz.
I have the new iPad and just ordered Apple TV to set up with my new TV I just bought yesterday. |
What type of stuff did you have on your PC?
Music and movies are generally done through iTunes and Quicktime. VLC is great for that too, and usually my go to for files that I don't have loaded into iTunes. _________________

Add in Handbrake to convert stuff you want to put on your iPad/ATV. _________________

Microsoft Office, PS, and other basics.
I'd like something where I can download a movie or TV show and get it into iTunes. Also, any app that is good for Apple TV. I'll likely need help with getting that set-up. _________________

Like Drew said, Handbrake works great for that.
I think the AppleTV is pretty much plug and play. _________________

My iPhone looks so out of place on my desk without a dock. Some company better make one with a nice clean profile soon. _________________

It happens to mine every now and then. Assuming you're on Windows 7, search for Services and turn off and back on Apple Mobile Device. |
I am. Still not working. _________________

Settings -> General -> Software Update.
You can do it all from the iPhone, if you're on WiFi. You'll only want to it if you've backed up recently though. _________________

I went ahead and updated without backing it up. I didn't lose anything luckily. But it still won't synch to my itunes. _________________

What OS are you using, and have you updated iTunes? You have to have the newest version to have anything to do with iOS 6. _________________
