| I thought Ricardo had a decent game today. He didnt get torched for starters and he did break up a pass. |

| He made a couple of plays in pass coverage but considering the state of the viking's downfield passing game that may or may be significant. He seemed a little hesitant to make a tackle on AP but I think he was more concerned with keeping everything in front of him. I think he earned more playing time. |

He was a clear upgrade to the position today. Wendling is a special teamer for life and a clear liability at safety. |
He wasn't a clear upgrade. They brought him up hoping that he could do something better than Wendling. It was a risk to play him. If he was a clear upgrade he wouldn't have been brought up from the PS a day before the game.

Its sad that when Silva comes in and is sub par that we consider it an upgrade.

Regardless of how well Silva did or didn't play, the bigger Issue is why are we having to rely on him coming up from the practice squad to start in the first place?. 
Highlights our desperate, desperate need at the position.

I thought he looked solid, good enough to earn another start. With Silva I'd take it start by start. He wasn't great or anything last week but to be an upgrade over what we have you just need to be decent and I think Silva was decent last week. Be nice if Silva is the gem we find in the rough this year. |
