Actually, he might be farther away from civilization now... _________________

Former pro bowler Steve Hutchinson, who will return to Minnesota as a guard for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, was not surprised when the Vikings released him in March.
Hutchinson: "I think just knowing the direction that the team's going, where they're trying to get younger in areas, I saw the writing on the wall. It was a good six years, but it's business too and they've got to do what they've got to do."

So I check the schedule to see that the Vikings game is at 4:25, and I'm happy cuz that means I will likely get to see it on TV.
(I'm in the Buffalo blanket region, Toronto area, so what happens is when they are playing we only get their game on)
Then I look and I see that Buffalo is now also playing at 4:25 (but the are on the road). Grrrr
I always stream them live, but damn wanted to see this one regularly. _________________

Are you feeling the oil boom?
I work for a company that sells instrumentation to oil companies, and there are a TON of projects going to west ND. Gotta love oil shale. _________________

Yep. That's why I moved out here. Too much opportunity for a recent law school graduate with student loan debt to pass up. It's a different way of life out here, but it is one of the only areas in the country to have such expansive economic growth. I think they should rename the UND Fighting Sioux to the UND Frickin' Frackers... |

There certainly is no unemployment problem in ND...now housing is a whole different ball of wax. _________________

It depends on the type of employment you're looking for. I want to go back to Fargo, but there's no work in my field there. _________________

i firmly believe the economy in western ND and eastern MT is the most robust one on the north American continent, certainly per capita, that's for sure.
i've never seen anything like it, anywhere. _________________

West Texas is much the same way. The Bakken and Eagle Ford/Permian oil shale fields are just blowing up right now. You would know believe the amount of money that the big oil companies are investing in those areas _________________

about two months ago, the state of North Dakota, with its population of all of 685,000, became the second largest oil producing state in the Union, passing Alaska.
unreal.
and the oil boom here is very much seen as being in its "infancy." _________________

McCarthy is playing this Sunday, for Viking fans who were wondering.
Hass is now penciled in as starter for sure(though we all knew that was happening).
Britt is a 50/50 right now, I do believe. |
