the most telling part of this game is that even with Harrison Smith out, Jerome Simpson a non-factor due to injury and Ponder throwing 2 INTs, the team was still good enough to be completely dominating. _________________

Peterson hurt his ankle on the second play of the game too, and said it affected his abilities. _________________

My thoughts on the game.
The defense was great, they dominated getting solid pass rush, getting hands up and knocking down passes and breaking up passes. They committed a couple of dumb penalties on turnovers, but overall played a very good game.
The offense moved the ball well, Peterson and Gerhart had some nice holes to run through.
Ponder threw two INT's, one was the tip along the sideline that if he had been called out of bounds wouldn't have been overturned instead of being called in bounds, but he didn't seem to let it phase him, which was nice, last year he would force it after making a bad play, this game was well enough in hand defensively that he didn't have to, and was able to play through them and made some really nice throws, like the long pass to Harvin along the sideline with great touch.
Harvin is amazing, he should get MVP talk, won't win unless he steps up his numbers more, but he should get talk at this point.
Walsh is amazing, his kickoff ability is great and he has been very good thus far on field goals. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

The Titans caught the Vikings' coaching staff napping on a fake punt on fourth-and-1 from the Tennessee 41 in the first quarter. Tennessee shifted from a punting unit into a version of the Wildcat offense. Safety Jordan Babineaux lined up in shotgun formation, took the snap and went around right end for a 10-yard gain against a stunned Vikings punt return unit.
Christian Ballard: "I was thinking, 'Call a timeout,' honestly. But that's a little bit above my pay grade. That was a good call on their coach's part. We just need to call a timeout and get our defense back on the field. Be more situation aware."

This is the first Vikings game I ever watched where I felt the outcome was certain. I had my reservations before the snap, but after the first few series it was clear that the Vikings were in complete control of every phase. _________________

Probably just before Hasselbeck took the first snap.
Gotta feel a bit sorry for Titans fans though. To see a team play that flat, it brings back painful memories from last year. _________________

I don't think I've ever seen Eller (outside of some old highlight vids) without that hat.
The other guy looks like the one that was kissing the Mayors butt and bowing down to Ziggy after we got the stadium bill to pass. _________________

He made two tackles. I dont recall him getting many snaps until the end of the game when the Vikes were basically in prevent. |

I was thinking the same thing but it can't be. Leslie never shows emotion _________________

it was a very good pr move on the NFL's and Goodell's part to come to Minny for the weekend. he also met with Twin Cities business leaders to thank them for their efforts on getting the stadium bill passed. and obviously had a very public image, meeting with tailgaters and sitting in the stands at the game, not a luxury suite. even dressing casually. a lot of thought went in to his visit.
and the NFL wants the Vikings in Minnesota, that's for sure. _________________
