Hey guys, I've run into a bench problem in fantasy and I need to cut one of Ben Tate or Steven Jackson.
Jackson's been underperforming this year plus the injuries are piling on, I'm leaning towards cutting him - is there something I don't know or is he going to turn it around? |

I too have the issue with SJax.
It's a tough call. Personally I'd drop Tate, since he's Foster's backup. While Jackson is a starter.
Issue with Jackson is he's got that mild groin strain. And he's faced very tough defenses up front.
But when he faced the Skins he averaged 7 yard/carry before the injury. Also had a TD, which never was by the replacement refs.
I'm not giving up on him just yet. |

Wow, you must have a beast team if Jax is on the chopping block. Can't you trade him to somebody for something? Either of those guys should net you something rather then dropping for no gain. I'd honestly hate to drop either of them. Tate has potential to lead league in rushing if Foster were to get hurt, which he has done throughout career. Jax is workhorse back for a team, which is rare (not producing much this year and still kicking myself for making a homer pick of him over the hold out MJD). _________________

cut him, he's not doing nothing this week vs. the Seahawks (even if he plays)... and I don't see very much production coming out of him in the future.
Tate is playing for one of the better running teams in the league and has a better chance of some big games. _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

Why must you cut one of these two guys? It has to be a really good reason. _________________

If you had a bad defense I would seriously consider playing without a defense and holding onto Jackson. If you have to free up a spot, try and trade Jackson and someone else for one player. _________________

QB Brees, Roethlisberger
RB Doug Martin, Steven Jackson, Ben Tate, Andre Brown, Mikell Leshoure, CJ Spiller, Fred Jackson
WR Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Brandon Marshall, Stevie Johnson
TE Gronkowski
K Gould
10 team 0.5ppr league
I dropped my defense last week (Lions) to pick up Leshoure on waivers so I could delay this decision or make a trade.
Wasn't able to and I need a defense for tomorrow.. this is my situation |

If the Falcons defense is still available, I'd pick them up. That was the first move I made in all my leagues. As for who to cut, I'm not sure. Tate is a backup while Jackson isn't. But if you think Foster will get hurt, I'd cut Jax. If you don't, I'd cut Tate. _________________

I'd cut Roethisliberger. There is no situation where I see you starting him over Brees. I no he is playing well but starting running backs are tough to come by.
Again, trading 2 players for one though would be ideal. _________________

Jackson's been nicked up all season so far, I'd cut him based on your roster but too bad you couldn't make a trade to get something back.
Like jrry said about the Falcon's def, pick them up if you can. A ton of leagues have had them on waiver wire, their schedule doesn't look too rough and they shut down the chargers on the road last week. |
