It's a bye week for the Boys. Hopefully they'll be treating this week as another training camp because this team, especially the offence, is not executing. The OL could use the week to develop some chemistry.
Finally, hopefully some of the wounded will be back in time for Week 6 and the team toughens up against the Ravens. If not, that game could be a really long one for the Boys. _________________

2 of our 3 division foes have a legitimate chance to lose this weekend. I kinda doubt Cleveland beats the Giants. But, the Steelers definitely could beat the Eagles and the Falcons are definitely better than the Redskins. If a miracle happens and the Browns beat the Giants, we'll be alone in 2nd place in the division. The standinsg would be...
Philly 3-2
Dallas 2-2
Giants 2-3
Redskins 2-3 _________________

Where is the Giants-Browns game being played? If its in Cleveland, I give them about a 40% chance of beating the Giants. The Giants defense is obviously just not good right now. Even the vaunted defensive line hasn't played up to its billing. If the Browns can get the run game going and get a couple of big plays through the air or special teams, I could see the Browns giving them a run for their money. Also, the Giants may be without Nicks again.
If its in NY however, I give the Browns a 10% chance. _________________

The game is at NY. Well, NJ. I don't think the Browns can win this game unless Eli gets hurt, which I am not asking for, but totally wouldn't mind seeing. The Browns have no WR's worth a flip. That makes it easy for the other teams to focus on stopping their running game. If I was Coughlin, I'd make Weeden beat me through the air. _________________

Over/Under: 1 Thread per sack would have been made on any combination of the following if Dallas had given up 9 sacks:
-Fire Redball
-I hate Jerry
-Romo Sucks
-Good thing we drafted OL (sarcasim)
-I hate Jerry x2
-A profanity laced thread.
My words. They got abused. _________________

Yeah...I don't think the words 'worst in the NFL' can be used to describe our line. Maybe 'one of', but not 'the'. _________________

Very impressed by the Colts. A tragedy strikes the Head Coach - and led by a rookie - the team comes back for the win. Very nice.

How about first high profile coach or coordinator on the hotseat: Dave Wannstaedt in Buffalo. That D is awful and after some major upgrades. Definitely not meeting expectations. It doesn't help that you have had to face New England and San Francisco in consecutive weeks but still, 97 points surrendered in two games! Ouch. _________________ Northland |
