The Pro Football Hall of Fame has released the list of candidates for the 2013 class. Some interesting first-time eligible candidates. Here is the full list. http://www.profootballhof.com/enshrinement/2012/9/27/2013-nominees-for-football-hall-of-fame/

Who do you think gets in this year?
I think it will be Larry Allen, Cris Carter, Michael Strahan, Jonathan Ogden and Charles Haley, although Andre Reed and Warren Sapp are both possibilities. I also think it is an absolute travesty that Don Coryell is not in yet but the voters to keep ignoring him and this will likely continue.

Allen, Strahan and Sapp are the only who even remotely deserve to be first ballot guys. I question all three but Allen had the best and most complete career, however, at a lesser talked about position.

I don't know if any are 1st ballot locks, but Allen, Ogden, Sapp and Strahan are all definite to get in at some point.

Strahan, Sapp, Ogden and Allen will all definitely get in. Honestly I never really thought it mattered what ballot you go in, since there are always worthy guys who didn't get a shot the previous years, as long as you're in is all that matters. Those 4 guys are definite locks. Lynch is a strong possibility, but there's a chance he won't.

Everyone after those 5 are maybes at best, or just a no, they shouldn't be in.

Strahan is the best of this group by a long mile. Allen before Ogden.

With Modell dying, he will probably get in on a sympathy vote. Parcells is another likely.

The lack of love for Lynch is surprising

He does not stand out in this group. Lynch over Atwater? Please.

Ogden & Sapp are locks, Allen is the closest thing to a lock of the remaining eligible candidates. My gut feeling is McNair gets in on sentimentality.

Can't really see how he deserves it though, to be honest.

Warren Sapp and Michael Strahan are first time locks. Both were truly dominant players and have the media recognition to support there selection.

I don't see it at all either. He never had 25 passing td's in a season or 30 total tds in a season, just a good but very un-Hall of Fame worthy career IMO.

Larry Allen for me.

To be honest of that entire list only six are great candidates for the Hall. Allen, Ogden, Anderson, Strahan, Lynch and Sapp. The others had great moments and very good careers and should be honored by their teams but HOF worthy is debatable.

In what world does Jonathan Ogden need a sympathy vote to get in?
