Nothing about Oline play is all on one guy…as a unit the Oline relies on each other more than any other…Webb has clearly made strides on his own but the introduction of Rachal shouldn’t be overlooked…if we can pick up a young talented LG next season we could be set for a long time on both sides of the Oline with Louis & Gabe looked good as a pair as well. |
OL has to work as a unit, I know, but I'm talking specifically about Webb's personal play. It starts w/ doing YOUR job, and that's what he's doing right now. Honestly he deserved to get pushed by Cutler against GB, he didn't seem like he cared at all what Jay was saying to him, or that Jay was getting absolutely killed. Today he 100% deserved a pat on the back.

That's what I meant, I just want more football and less time waiting. And I want the FA period to begin the day after the super bowl. And the draft the next day. And TC the next. I want football 24/7.

I thought the line looked really good tonight, especially against Ware. He got pressure only a time or two that I can recall. That fumble almost turned the tide of the game, thankfully it didn't. Webb definitely has improved since the debacle in Green Bay. Maybe Rachal is to blame, as stated above (I'm not on either side) or he's got it together himself. Either way, I'm certainly happy.
Continue this with a solid, blowout win at Jacksonville and we'll be happy campers.

What strength? His fundamentals are still bad. You don't think Tyron Smith in todays game has a higher ceiling? |
Smith is shorter, smaller, weaker, not as long, and slightly more athletic. No I don't think Smith has a higher ceiling. |

Smith is much stronger and athletic. His balance and change of direction are much better. He's much better at holding his blocks. He's a much better player and he's just tapping his potential. We've been trying for years now to keep Webb from [inappropriate/removed] himself. |
