Looking for a great performance from Ponder and the defense/coaching. Let's see it. _________________

Taking this quote from the last game thread

I just dont see how we keep it close let alone win next weekend. |
There are two major reasons why I disagree.
1. We are playing at home.
2. The 49ers are built to win close games, not to blow teams out.
I think, while we may lose, it will be at most a two possession game. _________________

I'll tune in like I do every week, but I'm not expecting much.
I am excited to see:
A. How Ponder fairs against the NFLs best D
B. How the team responds after the embarrassing week 2 loss _________________

If Christian Ponder has a passer rating above 85, and have a 1st% above 35, and no injuries, then I will be content regardless of what the score is. _________________

I'm expecting the 49ers to get up early and grind the game out in a similar way they have against the Lions and Packers.
I do expect Minnesota to have slightly more success running the football.
Moss & Vernon Davis score Touchdowns against us. _________________

| As long as we are playing this stupid Cover 2 defense , we will constantly get picked apart. It doesnt matter who's at QB. We made Blaine Gabbert look like Aaron Rodgers. Play man and stop this damn cover 2 |

I have Peterson and Harvin on my fantasy team so I have some tough decisions this week LOL.
Finally we get to play most of the game in our base defense. How is the O-line looking? Kalil playing well? Harvin scares me with the way he used all over the field but our defense should hold up well. The Vikings have a knack of coming back and play well at home. For the Niners sake, I just hope we don't see a replay of our last meeting in Minnesota . _________________

Yeah I had this penciled in as the first loss... looks like it'll be #2.
I don't expect it to be competitive. That said the 49'ers look like the powerhouse of the NFC. |

While I don't expect to win "Any Given Sunday" is always in the back of my mind. I saw it with Arizona today. _________________

As long as Ponder doesn't thrown multiple INTs, and we take shots down the field early, I'll be content. Peterson may get few carries because we will more than likely be behind. _________________

Against what looks like the best team in football? Probably. But I think we can keep it close for the majority of the game, like the Lions did. |

What I care about this game:
1. Do we commit fewer penalties?
2. How does Ponder do against a great defense?
3. Can Peterson run at all against them?
4. Can we get an INT or Strip Sack on defense? _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews
