Why is There Never Competition For Jason Avant's Job?

OMG Damaris Johnson was deactivated. I have never seen a team completely compromise a roster in order to protect the position of a single player (Jason Avant). How could Damaris be good enough to start the Cardinals game, put up 84 yards receiving but now he's not good enough to be on the active roster due to poor return game productivity? This roster is built around Jason Avant. He's too slow to play on the outside when a starter gets hurt so in comes the undrafted rookie. The undrafted rookie puts up more receiving yards than Avant has in like the last 11 games but this same receiver is now deactivated because of special teams. WTF Andy is not about putting the most productive players on the field! Why is Andy so quick to make adjustments with players on the defense but he sticks with his offensive players too long? It's still a mystery why he ever franchised LJ Smith.

Jason Avant with 2 TDs in his last 39 games. Damaris Johnson is really getting coached unfairly. There is no way Riley Cooper and Gilyard deserve to be active over him.

Jason Avant 2 TDs in his last 40 games.

The Raiders signed an undrafted rookie free agent WR from Burlington, NJ named Rod Streater that attended Temple University. This undrafted rookie free agent already has scored 2 TDs in only his first 8 NFL games. How did the Eagles not get that Temple University product into training camp? Oh I know why, they were busy developing the 2nd round draft pick out of Temple that they cut while also protecting Jason Avant's roster position.
