Remember how many people wanted to draft him that year? They're still probably holding on to those memories if anyone still wants that bust.

Noting that Ellis is from Cali is also a head scratcher? Will he play better on the left coast?

I liked him alot coming out he played DE in college.

He is coming off one of his best years so he will be expensive. Not sure why they would let him leave unless they truly believe he will not be effective in the 4-3 which is what they are moving to. |

It kind of depends on who had the better season. Looking at just stats they are about the same. Then you have to look at what it is they do for their teams. Are they penetrators? NT types? But at the end of the day it is really tough to say what these guys think their value is vs. what kind of attention they are getting on the FA market.

We desperately need to find a nose tackle that can clog up running lanes, eat blocks, and keep our linebackers clean.
I'd be happy with Alan Branch, Terrence Knighton, Sammie Lee Hill, or Pat Sims.

maybe as stop gaps. All those guys have their issues and have gained and lost starting gigs. We need to draft a bona fide NT and raise him in our system. That will help the long term financial health of our cap too.
