Wheeler has been pretty average here in Oakland, he won't be expensive.
I'm sure we'd let DHB go for a 5th or 6th. | Thanks, thats better than I anticipated. _________________

Nothing. He will likely be cut unless he wants to take a pay cut. Even then, I'm sure the staff has seen enough dropped balls to just let him walk. _________________

Leodis McKelvin, Bradley Fletcher and Nate Garner.
If i have to bet, McKelvin is a Raider next year. CB and PR are huge needs. We added his ST coach his first 2 years in Buffalo and a defensive coach from the Bills. We kill 2 birds with one stone with this signing as he provides good depth at CB, at least, and is a very good returner.
Fletcher has the size and speed (6'0 - 200/4.47) we seem to be looking for in CBs. He was coached by Clayton Lopez in St Louis and lost his starting spot with the additions of Finnegan and Jenkins. He's a starter in our current group of CBs though. And he's still young.
Garner is a versatile PBS lineman (G and RT) drafted by the Dolphins in Sparano's first year as HC. Won't be expensive either. _________________

Yes, I have McKelvin on one of my mocks as well. He is perfect fit for price. |

Matt Slauson and Nate Garner would both be excellent signings. We could get Slauson for a reasonable price and Garner would most likely come cheap which would sure up the right side of our offensive line. If we could pick up a guard in the middle of the draft we'd be set at every position on the offensive line. _________________

Have no interest in him but what would you guys think of Moss coming back to Oakland?
Wouldn't happen and I doubt RM and DA would sign someone like him, but do you think it would improve our WR corps at all? _________________

As the Raiders stand right now adding Moss would moderately improve the Raiders WR corps. While there would be more explosive plays it would probably be unsustainable as the OL would be required to hold blocks longer as the offense reverts back to a vertical offense. Whether Moss is acquired or not without significantly upgrading RT history suggests that Palmer won't make it the season in a vertical (ie: deep passing) offense. _________________

The Raiders and OLB Phillip Wheeler are close to a new 2-3 year deal as reported by sports radio "The Game". They also reported that the Raiders are also close to a deal with TE Brandon Myers.
Hopefully Desmond Bryant is the next in the line... _________________ WIN LOSE OR TIE...RAIDER FAN 'TIL I DIE!!

Those are the big 3 imo as far as re-signings go IMO. Bryant is #1, Wheeler #2. |

I agree that we need to resign Carter and Hanson. Some really solid vets for the major youth movment we are currently undergoing. _________________

Just hope they are not huge contracts.
Not as worried about Hanson. I think they will see how the draft plays out before resigning him and Carter. |
