Sorry about Locker. Hopefully you will get get some better news today....like, he'll be ready by next weekend. Get him, Britt....we'll have a better game in December.
Good luck until that game in Dec. _________________ Texans Nation-The Revolutionis "SMOKkkinn"!! |

For my weekly... "AT Least" lol
At least the Jets lost....they were supposed to be soooo good. Got shut out by the 49ers.
At least the Bills lost... they were the "it" team after signing Mario Williams.
At least the Saint lost... misery loves company
I still hold steady to my 10-6ish record. Even though that sounds like pure fantasy, I think we can make a smallish run when we play some teams more on our level and gain some confidence.
We essentially played 4 playoff teams to start the season.
I look at the Vikings as prime example.
"Banged a few phatties to get their feet wet." lol Played Jags, Colts, 49ers and Lions. Lost to the Colts but played well...
We have yet to play a good complete game, that confidence can go a long way.
Now way we playing.... we... proooooooobably aren't a playoff team, however, we can play a lot better and make the games more bearable to watch.
My two cents...

David Stewart had a meltdown, Taylor Thompson was pathetic, CJ and the line looked a lot better, Hasselback just needs to retire, need a new head coach and DC, we suck at tackling, Casey played well though, our glass best players need to get better and stay that way, but other than that were okay. _________________

| I really don't get why people want Munchak fired. He led this team to a 9-7 season in his first season after a lock-out. Sure he may do things we disagree with but if you fired every coach you disagreed with, you'd be looking for a new head coach every year. If anyone deserves to be fired it's Jerry Gray. The Texans have proven that if you stick with your head coach while signing the right coordinator, it can take you a long way. |

Tough loss out there, guys. I know I have been on that side many times, and it's never an easy pill to swallow. There were some bright moments, as Locker-to-Wright is going to be a nice tandem for years, and CJ still has some moxie in him...so there's hope that this team can build upon those assets and start making a climb back into games.
Good luck for the rest of the season, guys! _________________

Another thing about the team we love.....
We have yet to play a game with all our "parts."
McCarthy been out
Britt been out
Locker going to miss
Cook limited
Marks been out.
All but 4 have historically been gamechangers, with Marks showing great improvement.
If you told me that we'd play without McCarthy, Britt and Locker during this stretch before the season I wouldn't be so shocked with our play.
We don't have depth, we knew this coming in. But we do have some playmakers, unfortunately they aren't playing.
Just me looking for some platinum lining..lol _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |

I believe Cookie only played like 20-25 snaps yesterday and it showed. Stevens is doing a great job trying to pick up the slack but he doesn't have the speed of Cook. Stevens reminds me as a Wycheck type guy - Can run down the seam, has good hands, good blocker. While Cook is the new age TE - fast, tall, huge match up concern for defenses. Can take it to the house on any given play. _________________

It'd be a great thing to take away if we had any confidence in any of them staying healthy (especially Britt) once they come back.
Also, Karl Klug only playing 20% of the defensive snaps isn't enough at all. He's too good to be riding the pine with how bad everyone in our front 7 not named Jurrell has been at times. _________________

yeah. I don't have confidence in them all being able to stay healthy, especially Britt. He hasn't played a full season yet!
McCarthy had injury issues coming out of college, which is why i think he slid.
I'm just hoping the stars line up and everyone gets on the field at the same time. _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |
