I can see how you'd get them confused. The new jerseys we have look similar. _________________

Is Gene really any better than Shack Harris? |
No he isn't, been saying it since last year. Harris was pretty much good at everything besides picking in the first round...sad really. |
what?!?!?!?!
Shack was terrible in free agency too |
Overblown. The only complete failures he signed were Hugh Douglas and Jerry Porter even though he's an injury bust. If Porter is a bust so is Aaron Kampman. Mike Peterson, Deon Grant, Reggie Hayward, Sammy Knight, and Brian Williams were all good when they played here and better than anyone Gene signed. Shack definitely wasn't elite but he wasn't flat out terrible, he was average. _________________ Jags.

Trading. His mid to late rounders looked like all pro's compared to Gene's. Blah blah on the last sentence, Why weren't the Coughlin holdovers winning during the 2000-2002 seasons? You're overrating how bad Shack was. _________________ Jags.

The roster was gutted after 1999, because we were in such a horrible financial situation. The only reason we got out of it so quickly is because the Texans took on Boseli's monster contract.
Who did Harris trade for? I don't remember any good ones, but I might be just missing them. _________________

There's all this Shack vs Gene talk, rehashing past deals, past drafts, etc. But really, who cares? What we all truly care about now is getting a better team on the field for the future.
Looking backwards leads to backwards looking teams. I want someone who will look forward, and forget the past.
I want someone with some balls, backed up by some intuition and capability. That's what i want. And sue me if that's not a reasonable thing to want at this point with a team that's struggled to build much of anything at all in the past decade. |

Kampy didnt get near the money Porter got plus you are forgetting Drayton Florence in that epic fail list as well. _________________
