The only thing Shack Harris did even remotely well was get good value out of second round picks. That's it. He sucked at everything else. The only reason this team was even remotely good at anything during that span of time is because of the holdovers from the Coughlin era.

Anyone else feel that the reason Freddy T doesnt post here as much is because Derrick Harvey and Quentin Groves sucked so bad? I think it damaged his soul a bit

Shack harris drafted some probowlers at least. Has gene? 
I'm not saying Shack was any good. he wasn't. It's just comical to me that one could think there's a whole lot of difference in managerial performance when comparing the two.

He got his first Pro Bowler 5 years after he took over. Somehow, I don't think that is relevant 4 games into Gene's 4th season.
Cox, Knighton, and Monroe are certainly Pro Bowl quality players.

would be the 4th time picking in the top-10 in Gene's era...the other was when he traded into the top-10...for Gabbert.

As much as I love potroast, he hasn't played like a probowl caliber player this year.
Cox needs to stay healthy long enough to be considered as such.
Monroe is the closest, he's really stepped up his game this year(even if last game he was a bit victimized, but so was the rest of the line.)

Also, it may have taken Maurice a while to get to the probowl, but you could at least tell from the beginning he was a special player. he was just splitting time with Freddy T.

Fair enough. But he gets credit for Meester, Marcus Stroud, John Henderson, Garrard, and everyone else too.
