Quote:
An original adaptation of the Academy Award-winning feature film, "Fargo" features an all-new "true crime" story and follows a new case and new characters, all entrenched in the trademark humor, murder and "Minnesota nice" that made the film an enduring classic.

Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton stars as Lorne Malvo, a rootless, manipulative man who meets and forever changes the life of small town insurance salesman Lester Nygaard, played by BAFTA Award winner and Emmy-nominated Martin Freeman. Colin Hanks plays Duluth Police Deputy Gus Grimly, a single dad who must choose between his own personal safety and his duty as a policeman when he comes face-to-face with a killer. Allison Tolman also stars as Molly Solverson, an ambitious Bemidji deputy.

....might be worth checking out.....my wife was born in Bemidji, and my in-laws lived their until a few years ago.

Neat little town

1st time I went there.....spent a week, the warmest it got was 10 below.

Its got to go UP 42 degrees just for you to freeze your butt off.

Absolutely loved the movie, will watch this to see how it is.

Anyone ever seen the edited version of the movie? It's so great I laugh everytime Buscemi utters the phrase "What the fruit!?"

File this in the will not watch file. They'll either oversell the dark comedy or undersell it, and it won't be anything near the film.

I was critical of this at first because I didn't think they could possibly do justice to the film. After looking at the cast and who is involved, I might give this a legitimate chance.

This will be my very first series I'm going to follow every week.

The pilot was amazing.

If any fellow UK guys are curious the pilot airs Easter Sunday on C4. The movie is great and Martin Freeman is great so I'll watch the pilot at least.

Liked it. A lot better than the movie which I didn't think was that great. Billy Bob's a BAMF. And I usually find the calm psychopath that never raises his voice and goes off on long intimidating monologues to be corny as hell.

This is off to a phenomenal start. Are they going to make each episode 1 1/2 hours or was that just for the premier? I wasn't expecting that much to go down in the first episode. Definitely a hook done right. Also when Lester ran head first to knock himself out I couldn't stop laughing haha
