Really Kromer? Your response to this team playing miserable and blowing 3 very winnable games is to give them a day off?

Aaron "Deer in headlights" Kromer won't get a HC look anywhere thats for sure. I'd like to see the Saints make strides in correcting the numerous errors that have been shown in the last 3 games. Win or lose, just correct things or at least try.
How's a hybrid 4-3 3-4 sound for starters? Can Marcel Jones (afro-man) be worse than Strief or Bushrod?? Hmmm...
I love the Saints and always will, just tough to see this when a once mediocre franchise became awesome then... bounty happens. _________________

yes Kromer is soft but Spags got some explaining to do concerning the run D. is it the players or scheme? something needs to be addressed because, really, Brees can carry the team impressively without Payton _________________

Give 'em the rest of the season off, it won't affect our w-l record apparently. _________________

I still have faith. Spags said Hicks is going to get more playing time, it about damn time. Everytime he's in he's pushing the pocket and making plays. I've said it a million times, if we're 4-4 by week 8 this team will make the playoffs. _________________

Honestly, Spags doesn't blitz enough. Most of the time i see a 4 man rush. That works when you have guys like Tuck and Strahan. But we don't exactly have that talent level in any one player, or for that matter any two combined!
We need more 5-6, maybe even 7 man blitzes. In the early going of GW's career as the Saints DC, it worked. He was essentially sending 4 guys to one gap, and by sure volume of defensive players versus offensive players, someone made the play.
Then OCs started recognizing that, and began to bring out more max protect looks. That led to the offense stuffing the ONE GAP blitzes, and gaining huge chunks of yards.
Even the amoeba defense is beginning to find offenses that can counter it, with all it's blitzes and packages, because most of the time it's a one gap blitz or blitzing one side of a formation.
Spags needs to run multi-gap blitzes. Trying to overwhelm one gap (GW), or just not blitzing at all (Spags) just isn't working.
To provide an example for a 6-man blitz:
This whole play revolves around freeing the WLB. Hence the green box.
I apologize for my horrendous paint abilities.[/img] _________________

This kinda bugs me. Not gonna lie.
You can see that Brees missing TC is effecting him. He is out of rhythm with most if not all our receivers, and to fix that, we give them days off?
Whatever, Bjoern Werner will look good opposite Cam Jordan next season. _________________

I've given up on this season. If we can't beat the Chiefs, there's little to no chance of us being a legitimate competitor. I just want a top 5 pick at this point. Barkevious Mingo would be so nice. _________________

No way.
Our remaining schedule:
@ Packers
Chargers
@ Buccaneers
@ Broncos
Eagles
Falcons
@ Raiders
49ers
@ Falcons
@ Giants
Buccaneers
@ Cowboys
Panthers
I don't see a lot of W's there. _________________

Joe Vitt is much more suited to be a head coach and the players will start to get more comfortable in Spags system, if we're 4-4 by mid season we'll make the playoffs. _________________

As much as I love our team, I don't see us going 4-1 in 5 games with @Packers, vs. Chargers, @Bucs, @Broncos, and vs. Eagles _________________

| I've given up on this season. Getting a Top 5 pick and a blue chip defense player would really help this team. Maybe even getting a great trade like the rams get last year... |

Like I suggest in a different post...
Go to a 4-3 / 3-4 hybrid with the 3-4 revolving around Akiem Hicks as NT, Cam Jordan and Will Smith the ends, bring Martez Wilson up to Sam linebacker.
The 4-3, same basic personnel, just bring in Ellis on the D-line. LB's Hawthorne, Lofton, Wilson.
Idea is to get Hicks and Wilson more playing time. That way it should give Spags the people/ability to do call the multi-gap blitzs mentioned above.
EDIT: Oh and this day off crap is for the birds until the entire team improves! _________________
