Doubtful. Carr had to play safety this weekend due too injuries. Jenkins stepped in and man-handled V Jax. |
Did not realize that Carr was playing Safety for you guys. That is an interesting development. |

Hopefully, Revis can recover from this. This is about as devastating an injury a team can have considering how valuable Revis is to the Jets. _________________

It was only about 10-15 snaps, but both our starting SS and FS are out. One of them suffered a season ending injury. So when the bucs went 3 wide, we put Jenkins, Mo-Cla and Scandrick at CB's and moved Carr to safety. I would assume that is similar to what the Pack is doing with Woodson.
Either way, unless its for a high quality OG or C, Jenkins isnt going anywhere. _________________

Very unfortunate. I'm not a big jets fan at all, but I like Revis, hope he bounces back. _________________

Actually, not at all. Wood plays Safety in base defense and goes back to CB when teams go 3+ wide. Reason they do that is because our 3rd CB >>>> Our 2nd safety. Not to mention the fact Capers was obsessed with taking a DL out and playing nickel defense even vs run first teams......just because he didn't want to be beat deep. Now we're able to keep our front 7 intact and be able to play coverage behind it(before we put Peprah in the box as a quasi-SS/ILB and hope teams didn't run the ball much). _________________ @PJHotel_ |

Kyle Wilson is passable as a #2 CB. What's behind him is the problem. _________________

Ouch, you hate to see such an integral piece like Revis go down.
I can definitely sympathize with Jets fans, hope for a quick recovery. _________________

No player means more to their defense than Revis does. Because of him, Rex can pretty much scheme whatever up and not have to worry about his side of the field. This loss won't make our defense terrible, but it will make it oridinary. And for a team who has problems scoring, this all but assures a losing record IMO. I can only hope Revis comes back strong for next season, and that our defense does as best they can without him this year. _________________

Then we would have the worst offense in NFL history. _________________

Gotta admit I smiled a bit when this breaking news scrolled through on the TV. Had a Jets fan sitting next to me when I saw it. Feel bad for Revis though. _________________

Terrible news for the Jets. Revis is probably their best player. Oh well hopefully he recovers well for 2013. _________________ Hey there, Blimpy Boy, flying through the sky so fancy.. free.. |

When they showed him limping around yesterday, I knew 99% that this is what it would end up being.
Tough loss for the Jets, and this certainly hampers any holdouts that Revis planned for next offseason... then again, maybe he'd do it anyway. _________________
