Santonio Holmes - 9 receptions, 147 yards, clutch catch
Jeremy Kerley - 2 receptions, 73 yards, 1 TD; 3 punt returns for 45 yards
LaRon Landry - 1 interception, 1 TD
Darrelle Revis - FF, FF recovery
Robert Malone - pretty good punting performance
I think it's Holmes, no question. _________________

Holmes, no doubt about it. I've given the guy a lot of crap lately, but he stepped up huge today. _________________

Holmes easily. Our special teams were great. Malone is so much better than Conley. _________________

Holmes.
BTW, we should keep a tally of each week's winner of POTG so we can see who has to most at the end of the season. _________________

Rob Malone was pretty good, but Holmes was fantastic. _________________

Austin Howard also deserves some credit for holding Cameron Wake sackless. Mo Wilk and David Harris were also very good with 9 tackles each. Bart Scott wasn't too bad either. _________________

Sanchez actually did play very well in the pocket today, otherwise Wake may have had 2 sacks. Howard wasn't bad but he certainly needs to improve before the Jets can commit to him as a long term option. _________________

I'm going to say Revis because I still hate Holmes, and I'm fearing he may not be an option again for some time.
I hate to say this, but it may be time to bring back Plaxico Burress for red zone situations. The Tebow package just isn't making much of an impact yet, and Hill and Schillens should have to earn their playing time. _________________

btw guys Howard is a solid tackle. Our problem right now on the line is our guards.
Say what you want about brandon moore but the guy is flat out terrible in pass protection. Slauson is nothing but potential to be an average guard.
We need to get bigger up front as well as get a OLB and a running back.
Pace has lost his pace, and quite frankly isnt a good player hes average at best. Pace, Moore, Greene all need to go. OLB and a big time guard would improve this team drastically.
How to fix now? well Powell should start at running back. Getting Keller back is huge. Continue the 3 WR bunch sets they seem to work. This defense needs to start playing zone if Revis is done. Coples needs to get on the RE and Wilk on the LE and allow them to do what they can to provide pressure. Coples is a player that needs more playing time, i hate seeing devito out there over him because devito has played weak. Hes usually good against the run but lately he gets thrown around. Coples, Ellis, Pouha, Wilk. and start playing zone/man. Thats the only way this defense can be successful without revis. |
