| Quote: | | Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith has left the team to be with his family after the early morning death of his younger brother, Tevin, in a motorcycle accident. |
"Thoughts and prayers go out to @TorreySmithWR and his family," running back Ray Rice wrote on his official Twitter account.
| Quote: | In a statement, the Ravens said coach John Harbaugh does not know if Smith will play against the Patriots tonight.
"Torrey's priority is his family," Harbaugh said. "We understand that completely." |

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Smith family. Great to know the Ravens organization is offering this much support for one of thier players. _________________

Terrible news. Torrey Smith (along with Ray Rice) is one of the nicest guys on the Baltimore Ravens.
For those who don't know Torrey Smith's story, he practically raised his 6 younger siblings in a very difficult home situation. Sad that something this difficult happens to such a quality person.
Obviously, don't care about his avalability for this game, I hope he takes as much time as he needs. |

Here's an article that talks about all of that. Definitely worth reading.

Wow, never seen that article, but wow. You really just gain a new appreciation for a guy like Smith. I already liked him, but...wow. Great read. My heart goes out to him and his family. Terrible, terrible news. _________________

Wow. What a crazy story... I never knew any of that about Smith. That's insane.
My condolences to him and his family. I came very close to losing my brother a few years back and it tore me apart for a good while. I can't even imagine what Torrey is going through. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

| As a motorcyclist, always sucks hearing about this kind of stuff. The title is misleading though, made me think he quit football. |
