Yeah. He's not a TE.

Good one. But yeah, I don't see the Patriots, or anyone else for that matter, signing him. Just seems like smart roster management for the Jets honestly.

If the reports of him battling injuries are true, no one is going to sign him. Rather than the Jets using a roster spot on him and making him inactive, they cut him and use the spot on someone who can be more useful. If they need him at a later date they can bring him back. For Thomas, his salary is guaranteed, so no harm no foul really. He's getting paid so I don't see it as any disrespect.

He missed last week's game with an injury and was doubtful for this one. This is coming off of him missing most of last season with a torn achilles. It's clearly old age catching up with him, as he only missed 3 games during the first 9 years of his career.

Thomas was on the opening day roster, so his salary was guaranteed. He will be back.

Is Coples even on this team lol? He looked very good in preseason and hes literally been a ghost so far. Unfortunately that was one of his knocks coming out. Hey its only been two games, but if Rex wants to spend first rounds to round out his good but not elite defense every year, he better start getting these guys to live up to what hes put into all of our heads.

I don't know if Rex plays him, I never really see him out there.

Since I am not ready to make a new thread yet, I use this thread.

Dixon is dumped. With 2 spots, Jets can bring Thomas back and get new CB.

@nyjets: #RL Jets have re-signed LB Bryan Thomas and WR Patrick Turner, and have waived DL Marcus Dixon, CB Donnie Fletcher and T Dennis Landolt.

God damnit. I really don't want either of the two back. Nor do I want Fletcher cut.
