Hey, I've been up to Chicago quite a few times from St. Louis, but this will be my first time going to Soldier Field. So I was just coming here to ask for some tips on parking, secret spots, and any other stuff I need to know.
Should be a great game.. Just looking for help from people who have been to the stadium before.
Appreciate the help! _________________

There's also this topic which talks a little bit about soldier field, nearby hotspots, and tailgating in particular. |

Don't park at the game.
It is a 15 minute walk from the South Loop and it is actually a pretty nice walk along the lake. Also they usually have school buses that will drive you back to different spots including the underground parking near millenium park.
If you want to check out the tailgating go to the 1st south lot which is just under the underpass thing by the main gate. Go to the 2nd level and walk around.
Give yourself a good 20 minutes to get in through security as it as slow when I was there week 1.
Good luck getting into a sports bar right after the game unless you sprint out of there. _________________ John Fox

I walk to the stadium so I don't have much advice on parking...other than parking lots open at 8am.
Secrets? There's good beer down by section 140, else you're stuck with Miller Lite and MGD. (Unless you're in the hoighty toighty club section, then you get Guinness and Smithwicks)
Need to know? Jay wants the crowd to be quiet when the Bears offense is in the red zone, we expect you to comply with this. Thanks in advance. |
