Players need to learn how to hit hard but legally. Shoulder to chest or shoulder to shoulder. Don't involve the helmets and don't get too close to the neck and everything will be fine. _________________ Shut up, NBT

Don't hit players in the head. It's really simple. _________________

Seriously I've never seen anyone as wrong as you all the time. The fact that you have knocked Skip Bayless off that perch has brought great shame upon this website. |

Look at Golden Tates hit on Sean Lee
That was a good hit nothing illegal about it but he still got fined _________________

He was using his helmet. That's what he did wrong. If he goes shoulder to chest, then Lee still gets laid out by a huge hit, but it's completely legal even though Lee is defenseless. _________________ Shut up, NBT

That's irrelevant. You can't lead with your helmet on a defenseless player, and especially not so high that there is helmet to helmet contact. _________________ Shut up, NBT |

Don't like it, quit watching. These rules are for the players safety. We have an advanced knowledge now of what happens with concussions and a lot of players back in the day that played with the big hits u like, don't even know who they are anymore. These "sissy" rules are to help prevent that. Simple as that. If you want big hits, go watch hockey. Otherwise just deal with it because it's not changing. _________________

Defenseless player , man I remember when big hits like that we're ht got your team fired up
It's not like they are intentionally trying to hurt/injure somebody , just trying to get a big hit _________________

You pay the medical bills, the lawyer fees, the costs associated with protecting retired players after there football careers are over. Then you will clearly understand why Goodell is doing what he is doing. Goodell is hired to represent the owners of the NFL, who are ultimately the one's who have to fork over over the money to cover related expenses. Why is the hate directed towards Goodell? He is doing what the owner's ask of him, get mad at the owners. Even then, what is the point. Research some of the lawsuits that former players brought up and tell me a good solution to combat that issue? |

Do the football gods make players not get injured when there's no intent to hurt them as opposed to when there is? _________________ Shut up, NBT |

Honestly, I don't mind a pro safety stance from the league. If they want to legislate form tackling into the game more, and take dangerous head-neck trauma out of the equation, that's fine with me.
What upsets me is that with the way games are called nowadays, separating players from the ball is the only way to defend a pass. Players have to hit dangerously since they literally can't even touch receivers before the ball arrives. Either return illegal contact enforcement to previous levels or deal with the outcome. You can't have your cake and eat it too. _________________

Am I the only one who couldn't care less about fines? They don't affect the action on the field and they don't deter anybody. _________________
