The Titans' disastrous season is going to continue this week. There's just no way the offense and defense take a big enough leap to win this matchup this week.
How the hell are we sitting here expecting the Titans will be able to run the ball any better against Suh, Fairley, Avril and co.? How are we expecting they'll be able to defend against Calvin Johnson? _________________

All I know is that I grabbed all the TE's from Detriot in my fantasy league.
I'm expecting to win 1,000,000 to 123 against whoever i go against.. _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |

Honestly I'm only concerned about the TEs. Sounds foolish but Calvin Johnson should scare me but for whatever reason he doesn't. I think opposing teams will just target the TEs and tell Calvin...this isn't your week to shine.
Gameplan revolves around TEs and RBs in the flats and middle of the field. _________________ "I'm not locked in here with you. You locked in here with ME!" |

For some reason, I got a feeling that Griffin will punish someone over the middle this game. Talking about a $21k+ fine for this sort of hit _________________

Guys, look at the bright side. We are just 2 games behind the division lead and homefield advantage. _________________

I'd put my money on Detroit but two things hold me back. They played one of the most physical teams last week and lost. It's tough for teams the week after a physical tilt. Second they played last week on the west coast, traveled back to Detroit and have to travel again to Nashville. West coast trips take a lot out of teams. That said we played on the WC last week but at least we are at home.
Based on what I've seen on the field from both teams the last two weeks I'm taking Detroit by at least 10. We are shaping up to be one of the worst teams this year, thank god we play IND and JaK twice. We can't cover, we cant pass rush, we can't stop the run, we can't run block, we can't run, hell even our heralded pass blocking is crap. The titans are a team of no leaders and it shows on the field. Whatever optimism I had going into the season disappeared when I watched the SD game in slow mo on my PVR. The fact that our G/C/G are even playing in the NFL is mind boggling to say the least. They legitimately are bad beyond words. And hell so was our Defence.
Hope I'm wrong but I am not putting real $$ on the titans this week. _________________ Go Titans!!! |

Stafford has had problems protecting the ball and his accuracy has been terribly inconsistent.
The Lions have a depleted secondary and struggled against Gore. The dline needs to get push and the linebackers need to maintain gap integrity if they are going to contain CJ2K.
I'm not at all confident in the Lions this year. As you can see in our game day thread I voted tie in the poll because until the Lions start to play to their capabilities I'm not going to predict they beat anyone. |
Believe me, all the Lions front seven has to do is turn up and they'll contain CJ.
I reckon the Lions win this one 31-17. _________________

Yep, the safeties come on two CJ runs stuffed in the backfield for losses.
Honestly I think Locker is going to have a really big game. I think we smelled his bad side last week, and he's the type of player that's going to have those games sometimes. But I don't really even blame him for much in that game, which isn't meant to say I think he played well either.
If you watch the GameRewind, pressure was in his face all game. Our O-line was getting blown up and some really bad play calling didn't help. Not to mention CJ dancing around like pansy getting hit for losses. With Britt back that's going to give a big boost to the entire offense, not just Locker.
On the other side of the ball, it's going to be near impossible stopping megatron and I could see him absolutely busting our D all game, scoring 2-3 touchdowns. Stafford has been turning it over and hasn't looked very sharp so far. Detroit also doesn't have much of a run-game, at the same time we gave up yards to NE and SD already, two teams not really known for being able to run the ball.
I'm not going to give up hope. And I think the homefield advatange will be a huge factor in this one. It's hard for me to realistically pick the Titans to win because of how good I think Detroit can be, but Arizona upset the Pats last week so anything can happen.

Nothing would surprise me in this game. Detroit has the offensive talent to wipe us out. But they've also looked out of sync the first two weeks (they should have lost their home opener to the Lambs, for goodness sake) and we could have one of those wake up and play games. Hard to say what will happen. The fan in my thinks we win a close one. _________________

Not too much worried what the outcome of the game is, more concerned to see to see how this team will respond and if they've decided to throw in the towel. _________________

I had a vision.
Titans win 38-17. Griffin with 2 picks and one for 6.
Locker, Wright and Britt all have a big game.
