This game feels a lot like the 2010 Steelers game. The Pats coming off a loss to a vastly inferior team, playing against an AFC powerhouse in primetime.
Gronk was huge in that game (5/72/3) after being a big reason the Pat lost to the Browns the week before. Does that bean Ebner is going to have 10 ST tackles? _________________ Shut up, NBT |

Ravens win 42-10
Brady gets sacked 16 times.
Bernard Pollard tackles Brandon Lloyd along the sideline and barrels into Belichick in the process, breaking both his legs. _________________

If the Pats win, DTMB's 34-17 Ravens victory is getting sig-quoted. _________________ Shut up, NBT |

Winslow has been with the team for just two practices, but coach Bill Belichick said Friday he wasn’t ruling out him contributing with tight end Aaron Hernandez out with an ankle injury. |

Torrey Smith's brother died in a motorcycle accident last night. Apparently he wants to play through it. _________________

I just checked out their forum esp. the Eagles/Ravens one and LOL. I always knew sna and ceejay were clowns but just wow. There are some real bad @ss internet tough guys over there. It also appears ceejay demanded a sigbet, then lost, and is now refusing to actually put it up.
Anyways, I think this game goes 24-17 in the Ravens favor. I'm hoping for 16-20 Patriots, with the defense coming up big and showing signs of being an elite unit. _________________

Some pregame thoughts before I hit up the bar to watch the early games...
1. A loss here is not nearly as damning as some people are making it out to be. Apart from losing home field advantage to the Ravens, being 1-2 isn't a big deal. Plenty of 1-2 teams go to the playoffs, and I have little doubt in Belichick to turn a bad loss into a string of victories as he has done so many times in his career.
2. Ras-I Dowling needs to get on the field again, if only to play the run. On two of Arizona's drive-saving first down runs, Moore got absolutely rag-dolled. Hopefully with Dowling it was just a missed meeting, and not a troubling decline in his play.
3. If our defense holds down the Ravens, they've arrived in my book. Baltimore has exactly the kind of offense that we struggle with. They don't bother to run the ball (and won't tonight against our front), they spread it out, and they have speed all over the field. Even if they aren't a great offense, the matchup is unfavorable.
4. Slightly related, but after a half-decade of slugfests and brutality, it's gonna be weird watching a Steelers-Ravens track meet.
5. Why the hell do I have to wait until 8:30 to watch the game??? This basically torpedoes my productivity for the day. _________________

I much prefer SNF or MNF games. When the Pats lose at 1 PM (like last week), it makes it tough for me to enjoy the other games on the schedule. |

So amped for this game tonight. Biggest concern for me is protecting Brady. If we do a good job of protecting him I'm pretty confident we win this game.
I think our D is going do well against Flacco and company. Chandler is going to be in his face all day.
28-21 Patriots.
